How to use mica powders and UV resin - Acrylic blank key chain

I don't have a Cricket, so I just use temporary tattoos. Just apply them to the resin the same way you would to your skin. Dome them to protect them from ever rubbing off.

I did everything to enter the giveaway. I appreciated your instructional video. I tried doing a UV resin keychain a few months ago and it was a flop. I see now that I shouldn’t have done it outside. I think it cured too fast and it ended up not level. The swirl in it didn’t look good with the clear UV resin as it does with the mica powder added. I really like how the Arteza mica powders add to the look. Really beautiful pigments.

My UV resin doesn’t cure until the light is put on it, I can mix all day long. What resin are you using that cures when mixed? I don’t have to mix my resin. I thought that was the whole point when using UV resin.

@@Alisha-vy5lb I think you misunderstood. I state to keep it away from uv light while mixing as it will cure. Because some people like me have lots of natural light in their rooms it can cause the resin to start to cure. We mixed it because we put mica powder in it. So I. Order for the powder to not just sit on top of the resin and do nothing it needs to be incorporated into the resin by mixing it

I used the mica powder with some UV resin and put in a bookmark mold. The darn thing will just not dry! When I try to remove it from the mold, there is a lot of the liquid resin/mica powder that is under the bookmark in the mold! Did I do something wrong?

What color is your mold? UV resin in molds is really tough because you need to be able to get the light through the whole thing. I recommend epoxy if you are doing something in a mold.
