How to use Midi cables to Select songs on two keyboards using one as a master.

Hi Jack could you help out plz ive got a yamaha psr670 don't have midi cable ok but got usb instead ok also got an yamaha psr e403 again no midi cable but usb only ive connected it all up by doing usb to usb so would it work if so do i need to change any midi settings on both keyboards at all thanx

Thank you Jack, one question: Is there a way I could connect a digital piano to yamaha Genos using midi-in cable and play genos voices and styles from piano weighted keys?

Hi. Yes that’s what I used to do myself. I bought a weighted Nord and played its organ sounds through my non weighted keys on my Korg and then played by Korg sounds through the weighted keys on the Nord. Essentially swapping the keybeds of the two keyboard over. Midi is very powerful. You will be able to find out all about it by doing google searches.

@Jackcapaudio Thank you very much. Now, it makes more sense to me to buy a Yamaha Genos2 over the CVP905
