I don't think you're supposed to touch them after you run the migrations & commit them to your git repo. Btw there is a command "rails migrate:db:status" that allows you to see which migrations have been run.

@@JesusCastello Thanks. I had read about "rails...status" recently. I think at some point, it makes sense to delete the migration files and do db:schema:load instead. I understand that would eliminate the ability to undo the migrations, but constructing the database by running 33 migrations seems, awkward, I guess.

PS, I think it is "rails db:migrate:status", not "rails migrate:db:status". Again, thanks.
