That’s amazing thank you , I really appreciate that gesture and I’m genuinely glad you still find the tips useful ! I know I’m focused on music fully now but that doesn’t mean I won’t drop a painting vid once in a long while, mainly a Timelapse of course but ya . Thanks so much for being around still and your presence is deeply appreciated

definitely very cool markers, and I guess if you can make use of them , you can never have too many supplies.

I do multiple layers too it's even Overkill at some point. If you do more than like 4 to 6 layers sometimes the paint will peel off or slide off especially if it's on paper and not canvas

100% true, don't overdo it. that's a waste of paint anyhow good sir! 3 should do it, 4 -5 for white though

In your timelapse you would never know you did that many layers! Very cool
@8EMOODY5 жыл бұрын
I don't show the 3 layers on my regular uploads , when I did the full 3 layers here I sped it up even more so that it didn't take too long to watch lol! I would do that all the time but it takes a lot longer for the video to process , and it kills my camera battery repeatedly if I record it all, especially on abnormal sized piece . My battery died twice working on this video so imagine a full canvas lol !
@lissrckstdy78555 жыл бұрын
@@8EMOODY i see. Ya that would be a lot of battery. But you still do 3 layers on them for regular uploads u jus dont film it then?

Hey man, really enjoy your art and your use of paint markers has inspired my own art. Couple of comments, I use molotow and posca markers but mainly posca. I find when using posca and I’m colouring on white, I usually only need one layer. Posca paint seems to come out much smoother than molotow. When i do have to do multiple layers i find at 2-3 layers I’m not actually getting more paint onto the canvas I’m just scraping away what’s already there and the colour will never be smooth unless I take a brush to it.
@8EMOODY5 жыл бұрын
That's an interesting comment man , I've always been curious about the poscas and have wanted to try them , how is the colour range on them is it as wide as the molotow
@deanradley655 жыл бұрын
8e Moody Very similar color ranges but Molotow does have more. I find the ink in Poscas less watery and less prone to leaking but as I have every Posca color I don’t use the molotows much but i do plan to use them more in the future.
@8EMOODY5 жыл бұрын
Fair enough man , I've only looked into poscas a tiny bit so now you have me wanting to do some research ! Thanks bro

Thankyou for s great video! Would these markers work on baked polyner clay?
@8EMOODY5 жыл бұрын
Yes I'm pretty sure they will , not sure how clean it will come out but I'm pretty sure I've used them on sculpey and I think that's polymer clay . If I remember correctly it wasn't bad , but also wasn't the cleanest in the world
@op6655 жыл бұрын
I’ve recently gotten into art. You are quite informative and fun to watch. Right now my skills are trash but I’m getting better. I use a bunch of stencils an my friends give me crap about it. Is using a stencil cheating?
@8EMOODY5 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's cheating , but I do think it's very important o be able to not use a stencil at all. Depends on the kind of work your into . Ultimately if you can create your own stencils with your sketches that's probably a good thing and would take some skill . If your using premise stencils (again not cheating) but taking the easy way out might be the phrase for it . Don't let fear stop you from failing it's important to fail in order to learn . If you aren't failing you aren't learning
@op6655 жыл бұрын
8e Moody good advice. I’ll try to quit cheating

What color was the lighter and darker pink? My gfs birthday is this weekend was hoping to get some recommended colors thanks!
@8EMOODY5 жыл бұрын
The darker is magenta and the lighter is fuchsia pink , colours I'd recommend overall ?? If she doesn't have any at all yet if start with the basic colours (not sure how many you plan to get ) but I started with only 8 that was all I could afford at the time lol ! I just went with black white red orange yellow green blue purple , than I expanded from there and got different shades of the colours I knew I was using a lot so I could do some shadows , highlights etc . Hope that helps , ultimately it's up to you or your girlfriend which colours you'd like to start with , this is just how I began

i found these hard to use, unpredictable and messy. Painting on a canvas. Flow pretty bad. I used five pens but all were the same?
@8EMOODY Жыл бұрын
That sounds really unusual , do you know what size markers you got ? And are they ONE4ALL markers specifically , because molotow brand has other marker types as well . The markers always flow beautifully and are never unpredictable if your using the basic sizes , Are you using the fine tip ? That one can definitely be unpredictable at times and can also get messy but I don’t use it often I only use it for small detail , and on canvas I avoid using it at all costs because yes it does get messy and can ruin the work sometimes

I do the same thing I usually use a yellow Molotow, or... this is crazy but works well, I use a cream colored marker that's made by Elmer's glue and they sell them at Walmart in the arts and craft section for $2. It's an opaque permanent paint marker and they just say painters on the side of it. But the cream no it's... Let me find one... yup its "cream" and it's a 'painters" marker. Found next to sketch book section and with sharpie paint markers. But they're actually good markers. If you go heavy with it though they do fill in canvases pretty well so like it'll be a little slick but if you just do a rough sketch with them real quick it's no problem if you actually paint with them though it's kind of difficult to paint over. Molotows cover it but it's kind of like a slick surface at that point. I digress I'm rambling
@8EMOODY5 жыл бұрын
Lmao !' All good man maybe I'll check one out and give it a try in the future , it's okay to ramble that just means you had something to say :p I ramble a bit in this video too so it's all good :p thanks for letting me know about the marker
@Stu_DLNGR5 жыл бұрын
@@8EMOODY just make sure you shake em well. But their colors compliment Molotow well. However, don't buy the fine tipped painters. They're whack. The regulars bc or wedges are dope. peace ttys

That's what we call them here in the UK. Not relevant to the video (which was very informative), more relevant to letting you know that it's not a very cool look.
