is there a VOX mode on this or another model---when your hands are full?? And what is approx range?

Ibtm, yes there is a VOX mode (needs to be programmed). But keep in mind, when you cough or sneeze everyone hears you. Vox mode can be very hard to get use to.

Juan, No you can not connect to your phone. This is a real UHF two way radio. The as, just less power output.

Destiny, Sorry for the 9 month delay in replying. The coverage is limited by the power output (1 Watt). Depending on where your located the radio is built around large retail businesses. As as an example a large Big W (Australia), WalMart / CostCo (US) etc.. Basically an open plan store. You could talk over 3 football fields with nothing in between. 500mt. I hope that gives you some type of idea. They are great for retail, grocery, small schools etc..
