Interesting about the VPN because now that we do have access in Norway I'm unable to get any output from it in English. I upload a document in English in a browser set to English language on a computer with an English OS and then ask NotebookLM in English to summarize the text and specify that this needs to be in English... and still I get a summary in Norwegian, I guess because that is my region. Maybe it's just me who haven't found the right setting yet. I did ask within the included support documents (in English) and it clearly understood my question but answered (in Norwegian) that it basically didn't know if there is a way to choose the output language.

You can do exactly this with a custom GPT, and switch off web access. The amount of companies duplicating Chat GPT features and then getting useful idiots to promote it is so frustrating and creating pointless noise.
