Just came across this video ( 4 yrs. later) but SO HAPPY I finally found some help!! with getting them NOT to have those "candy kisses" look...I don't have many because I just didn't the "look of them" on project(s). Going to practice some more and decide how many more colors I need once I've mastered your technique 👍👍 Thanks so much!! Take care...

OMG I love the glitter especially when using with two glossy in colors that coordinate with the spread and use it in a fairy dust effect. I use it in everything nowadays lol. I do mine at an angle too and love the idea of adding a drop to the lids...that's epic and thanks for introducing me to them!

Thank you for the tips and tricks! :) I have a few of the novo drops and I use them from time to time but the biggest issue I have with them is the drying time... I have done novo drops on a piece of transparency, let them fully dry and then glue them to my card or project! Works fine! :) Big hugs to you dear!
@MyLittleJournal6 жыл бұрын
Oh ya I e heard and seen a lot of people do that Rigmor. I think it’s a great idea!! I don’t mind the drying time. I actually move from one project to the other so it doesn’t bother me at all. Thank you dear I’m happy you enjoyed the tutorial 🤗💕

Hi Heba, Thank you for the video. I have really want to try these drops. I have two questions. Can you make dots on wax paper and use them like enamel dots? Also starting out what would be your top 5 colors? Thanks!
@MyLittleJournal4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I’ve seen a few ladies do that. Personally I haven’t tried that but I know a lot of people make their own enamel dots 😁 I would start with Black, White, light blue, yellow I think it’s the mustered color, and green. Those are my go to colors oh and gray lol. Sorry I don’t know them by name but I would just choose the colors that you use the most ♥️

Hi Heba! I have a question: when the crystal drops dry are they sticky/tacky or are they smooth? Do they dry pretty quickly? I’ve never used them before but being the 80’s/90’s kid I am, they totally remind me of puffy paint! I used to use puffy paint in my scrapbooks/photo albums but it would dry sticky/tacky and sometimes rip the paper/photo. Do the crystal drops do that? Let me know! Thank you so much for this tutorial! I love your channel! ☺️♥️
@MyLittleJournal6 жыл бұрын
No actually they are far from being like Puffy Paint. They take a while to dry, I leave them to dry for 24 hours but once they are dry you don’t have to worry about them sticking to anything. I e never had a problem with them tearing my pages or sticking to my pictures. But you definitely have to let them dry completely. I hope I was able to help you out 🤗💕
@dearlydee6 жыл бұрын
I wonder if the drops are temperature sensitive too. With our colder climate here, mine never seem to be that liquid, unless i warm them up in my hands or a sink of hot water first. And because they aren't as liquid, I always have to tap them to get the little tail piece to round off.
@MyLittleJournal6 жыл бұрын
You know I’ve heard someone mention that before Dee. You might be right. You know what you can do? Maybe have your crystal drops next to your lighting. Now that would keep them warm 😁
@DonnaJo34526 жыл бұрын
Dearly Dee That is the instruction from Sharon; one of the Tonic reps in the UK; to tap the paper to settle the little tail.

Thanks for sharing! I had a quick question...I notice that Scrapbook.com has little trays for the .5 oz and 1 oz bottles. They store the bottles upside down. Do you think this is good? Do you think it might alleviate the air bubbles? Thanks!
@MyLittleJournal4 жыл бұрын
Hi Martha, yes I’ve actually bought a few for my crystal drops and I’ve been using them for a few months now. They are great!! They definitely keep the bubbles out 😁 I totally recommended them. I believe I’ve shared them on my Instagram feed at some point this year.

thanks for all the hacks. I'm having problems with my black and i tought it was my fault, but probably it tickened or maybe i have to free the nozzle with a pin...it just come out like a little snake :( and i get only pointy drops

Hi Heba! I really enjoyed your video and I wanted to know: my crystal drops are getting a little flat on the top 24 or 36h and after when I close my TN pages. Do you have any idea on how I can solv it?
@MyLittleJournal5 жыл бұрын
I always leave my spread open for days. It really helps the crystals to dry and hold their shape. Maybe you need to wait on it for a bit. I’ve noticed that when I first started using them and found out that even though the outside is dry the inside of the drop needs time 😁 I hope that helps 💕

My Little Journal I'll try to remember where I saw that as well.

While your tutorial is helpful, I am still getting the Dairy Queen tip on my drops and they never flatten out. It's like they're too thick when they come out of the bottle and they sometimes come out like a snake. The minis also give me fits. They are so hard to squeeze. I know it's not your problem. I'm just frustrated because I just can't seem to make it work. :-(
@MyLittleJournal5 жыл бұрын
You know I’ve heard that a lot from other crafters. I think where you live has a lot to do with it. Humidity and heat will probably clunk up your drops. Also are your old? Or maybe you got some bad ones. I noticed that my older ones get stuck sometimes but I do the whole needle in the nozzle and it works just fine. It must be very frustrating for you. I would contact Nuvo and see if they have any tips to help you out.
@marshaknatcal1045 жыл бұрын
@@MyLittleJournal thanks for the reply! My drops came in Tonic kits, so they are fairly new. I do live where humidity can be a factor, but this is the only product that doesn't work well for me. I'll contact them and see if there's a solution. Thanks again!
