Thanks for the video which is very helpful. I really appreciate if you give OCI CLI command to list all of OCI resource for a given tenancy ( that means, across all regions, all compartments, all network resources, etc., )

Hi Jean, great video, thank for sharing. I am wondering if it could be possible to create full environment from scratch (compute instances, create virtual networks, configure ports, attach storage to VMs and so on) using scripts in CLI? Thanks in advance

Yes, it’s possible. It’s called IaC - Infrastructue as Code. For this you must use tools like the powerful Terraform!

Hi Jean, great to see you videos. I've a question: Is there a way to use FTMCLI to upload files to OCI object storage bucket ?
@thecloudbootcamp2 жыл бұрын
Krish Kumar, thanks for your feedback. The FTMCLI was used to upload and download files to the OCI Object Storage Classic service. Now, about a way to upload files to OCI Object Storage, search more about using the OCI CLI, console, and API by accessing this link: docs.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Object/Tasks/managingobjects.htm.

Awesome.!!! Excellent video and excellent material that you share with the community! Since you approach it from the very practical side and complement it with the material that just Oracle released last week to do the OCI certification. I have a question for you! With the steps that you indicate in the video, I understood that we can create scripts in Bash to automate the starting and stopping of the instance or database. But where do you create the crontab... In OCI Client or in the machine?? or Where you installed OCI Client??. I'm very confused with that. Could you help me? Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and experience! .Finally, for your voice and accent, I think you're from Brazil! So regards from Colombia! Muito obrigado.

Hey Ivan, thank you so much! A simple solution would be to run the scripts in a crontab of a VM in OCI. You could use the OCI bastion hosts for it as well if you don't want to create a VM only for this purpose. Just depends on how you want to organize it. At the end of day you could use any Linux VM for it with the OCI CLI configured. Hope that clarifies. And yes, I'm from Brazil. We have a Channel in Portuguese as well if you'd prefer. Saludos! Jean
