Thanks for the excellent tutorial. How do you use a digital pen as a mouse cursor? In other words, to click on the tools with the pen tip instead of having to switch to mouse to click on the toolbar buttons?

You're welcome. When clicking on other tools, it doesn't matter if you're clicking with the mouse or the pen. It works last I tried but haven't used this app long after making this video.

Thank you. This Openboard is a local app so it doesn't seem to have a live share for editing like Microsoft WhiteBoard has which is another video I made.

You're welcome. Unfortunately this doesn't do the same as Doodly. I'm not familiar with VideoScribe but I assume is like Doodly.

I never tried but it is meant to be used online. Once it's installed, it may open while offline, but you may be limited. Easiest thing is to just try it offline.

I find it extremely counter intuitive to use. Is it for *nix users? There’s no save function, rather “export to open board format?” And how do I quit the app?

Ya, it's not the easiest to use, but it is a free app. It seems I forgot to mention how to close the app which is through the top right corner under the OpenBoard menu I recall it has an option to quit. I don't have it installed anymore.

Hi, do you know how i can export my board to PDF conservating the background with the color black? when i export OpenBoard change the color of my background to white, greetings from Chile

I haven't tried and don't have the software installed currently but sounds like a good idea for a video. :) Usually when you go through the export process, which I'm sure you can do, it should give you whatever options are available there. If you don't see the option, it can't be done most likely. I was wondering about some quick easy ideas for videos so I just might do this one in the next few days. Make sure you're subscribed and ring the bell to be notified when each video comes out and you'll see a shout out to you.

Thanks for your question. It actually saves automatically as you go. It's database driven, so there is no saving option. You can do a test to build confidence. Do something small, close the program, open it again and you'll see you didn't lose any work.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes it is very low. I've improved my videos since then with better microphones and ensuring loud before uploading. I'm continuing to make improvements as we go along.

Soon as you click on an item, a quick menu appears and one of the options is to copy. Then you can right click and paste.
