risk management is key. if you wanted to risk 0.5% of your portfolio in GME, or $330, that 0.5% just grew your portfolio by 39%. not necessarily get rich quick, but very very helpful. And if you lost the whole $330 if the option expires worthless, then you don't lose that much (out of $66k). Of course this is an extreme example. But options are worth looking into for that extra return if you don't mind learning about it and being a little more active.

For investor it's good to know that selling put options is convenient strategy to buy the stock cheaper (at strike price or below) or get some premium if the price didn't fall. Any cases are win IMHO. The starategy can be used when we're waiting for good stock price, markets rise, but selling puts we get some compensation for the waiting.
