Clove and rosemary kills any fungal disease on my tomatoes. Awesome concoction. Just as a warning my raspberry plants reacted badly from a little residual mist, so definitely test spray a leaf first.

Perfect timing. The spider mites destroyed a good portion of my beans. I pulled some in one container and did a neem oil drench from your other video. Then waited and planted more beans. This other container looks like I'll be doing the same thing if they don't bounce back. I have new leaves growing on them, but just as new leaves form they start showing damage. I'll be using this for my new bean plants that hopefully sprout, and my cucumbers.

Awesome - and thank you. I am giving squash (3 variety) a go after not growing for 5-6 years. The Vine borer just made it too hard - and heartbreaking. But this season I am trying the "oil therapy" to see if I have better success. Also - on cucumber plants because of the cuke beetle and other. I firmly believe the pheromones play a huge role in these pests finding the plants.

Hi Gary. Thank you so much for helping us with all of this. I garden in totes and started my fall crops two- three weeks ago. After being down for the last week with Covid I went out to look at my gardens this evening and my beans are really eaten up pretty badly. They are maybe 8-10 inches tall and have only a few leaves but they are full of holes. The leaves are completely gone from my kohlrabi. I’m just sick about this ! During this time we have also gotten a lot of rain. My peas are growing nicely but I’m noticing yellowing leaves. I watched your video on pest treatment for kale and the mix of peppermint and Castile soap and you said to remove the damaged leaves ,wash and then treat. Should I take all of the plants and start over? I could cry. Kidding not kidding. Your advice is much appreciated. Thank you. Kathy from Indiana

So I would go with snail and slug baits. Any of them work. They are usually bathed with sulfur or iron phosphate. They are linked in my amazon shop. I would also put insect dust on leaves. Captain Jacks Dead bug dust is organic. If this is a big infestation, I would use Sevin. It is not organic. Just 1x to get things back in control. After the dusting, I would go to peppermint oil as a repellent. If you can start some back up plants in flats or cups, I would do that too. Good luck. I’ve used the Dr B brand bit noticed after watching your video on neem oil mixing and testing how much soap to use that brand clumps up with the neem and forms a froth that floats on the top so the neem doesn’t get sprayed out! I had an awful aphid issue. When I used Neem oil it was ok, but, once I addressed the ant issue, the aphids were drastically reduced. I think both methods were key.

I sprayed my plants this morning with peppermint oil diluted with water and everything is turning purple and wilting. I’m so concerned with these plants come back to life?

If you were using 1-3 teaspoons per gallon of water, this shouldn't happen. It should be mixed with soap so the oil is dispersed. Too much soap can be an issue. But that is not normal and doesnt sound good. Hi Gary. something has gone very wrong with my 2 spaghetti squash plants. I don’t see evidence of vine borer. One day I went out to the garden and 1/2 the leaves were wilted. I cut the bad leaves off so the squash bugs didn’t have a cozy hideout. Now the remainder of the leaves have wilted. Pretty sure I’ll have to pull the plant. 2 questions… will the 27 spaghetti squash continue to ripen when removed from the plant? Any chance I can start a new plant this late in the season? Neem or any oil can work with soft bodied as oil coats them. Neem is good for chewing worms. I found it helps but Id say peppermint oil works best on spider mites.
