Hi great video would i still need too use a router from modem too do this setup? Thank you
@Tech_Inside_Out2 жыл бұрын
Hello, this requires only the POE Switch to work. You don't need the router unless you are using the router to help with Remote access and in that case you would have to connect the Camera to the POE switch and link the POE switch to the Router. Please if you need further explanation, kindly send me an email, script.engineeringconsult@gmail.com

what about if my camera only has a power connector and a BNC connector? the setup now is a 8k camera connected to DVR with a pair of balums over Cat5e I am trying to update my setup little by little, going to get a NVR and am not sure if I can connect my camera to it, before in near future getting and IP camera

If the camera has a BNC connector + a Power connection, that suggest that it is an Analogue high definition (AHD) Camera. This tutorial mainly applies to IP Cameras but you can however use the Power side of the POE splitter to power up AHD Cameras through a POE switch if you so wish. You can watch this video that explains it further kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXXUeqiimNd3bq8 It is possible to Combine your existing AHD camera installation with a new IP camera system. Here is another video that shows how that can be done successfully. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5XKhZ14idamsLM

Hi, you are using ethernet cable with mode A or B? Also would like to know if the cable is CAT5e or CAT6. Thank you.
@Tech_Inside_Out Жыл бұрын
I have used Cat 6 cables terminated as straight through cables in this Demonstration. But either straight through or cross over works.

Hi, pls what brand of Poe splitter do you normally use for installation?
@Tech_Inside_Out2 жыл бұрын
LS. The brand doesn't really matter
@Tech_Inside_Out2 жыл бұрын
I use one branded LS

I asked because am seeing varieties online with different prices. Some are expensive while some are not.. so I’m not really sure which to go for

Can I use a passive POE injector?
@Tech_Inside_Out Жыл бұрын
Yes you can
@drallersouldust305410 ай бұрын
I have this kind of splitter but there's problem somewhere between my setup , the injector is 48v 0.5a output , my splitter is 48v-57v input and output of 12v 1.2A but the original charger is 12v 1.5A , I wonder why my Access point is having trouble with IP allocation or it does not receiving enough power? I can't connect and need to restart the system but after a while I can't connect again . but if I use the original charger and passive poe injector/spitter then the whole system is fine
@Tech_Inside_Out10 ай бұрын
It is recommended to use the specified or supplied adapters with the specific power requirements to avoid challenges

Is it compulsory to use poe splitter when connecting this nonpoe cam to the poe switch to nonpoe nvr?
@Tech_Inside_Out Жыл бұрын
No, it is not compulsory, I will do a short video showing an alternative means of power.

I want to use UTP cable not wifi one; do I have to use this method to connect non poe Ezviz C8C IP camera to NVR HIKVISION DS-7108NI-Q1/8P/M POE 8 CH? How to configure it?
@Tech_Inside_Out10 ай бұрын
For non POE IP cameras, this is an option to connect them or you use a 12v adapter in connecting them and run a separate network cable for the video transmission.

@@Tech_Inside_Out does it need DHCP enabled for the camera? Using your method, my non poe ip camera did not detected by the NVR.

I BELIEVE THE NON POE WIRELESS CAMERA IS 12V, SO MY QUESTION IS HOW MANY VOLT POE SPLITTER DID YOU USE. CONSIDERING THE POE SWITCH IS 48V. THANKS FOR THE AWESOME VIDEO
@Tech_Inside_Out Жыл бұрын
Hello, The POE splitter is powered by 48 volts from the POE switch and the splitter outputs 12v to be supplied to the camera
@trascendents Жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same exact thing, the camera is 12v but the splitter is 48v. My guess is that the splitter detects the camera is 12v and autobalance to that power.
@dob307911 ай бұрын
it regulates the power to 12v

1. Is it power that could not be delivered to the camera? 2. Have you tested the ethernet cable and confirmed that it was working? 3. Is the camera itself working? 4. How did you come to the conclusion that the POE splitter wasn't working?
