10:12 isnt sin is supposed to be positive in the first quadrant? 240 degree is in the third quadrant right? That is 270-240=30, the answer -2.

Excuse me, why is the hypotenuse always positive at the fourth quadrant(or any other quadrant)? Isn't tangent positive only in in the third quadrant?

so the hypothenuse is always positive because your hypothenuse is your "R" where as your adj is "X" and your opp is "Y"

Because sin 270 lies in third qudrant where sin is negative ..sine angle positive in only first and second qudrant .so sin 270 is negative.

What if the denominator is not 3,6, or 4 for the radians. For example, my professor gave me this problem: cos (-9 Pi/ 2). The way he explained it had me really lost but I know the answer is 0... but why?

Smiffy Boy 45-45-90 triangles have root two and 30-60-90 triangles have two for the hypotenuse
