Boss great timing of your video 💯. Also which VM service did you use for the video ? When you say unattended bot do we have to connect that machine(VM) with the unattended bot license ?

Short answer is yes. If you’re able to run an automation by an unattended robot on a machine, you should be able to debug on it as well.

Hello, Jeppe. Fantastic topic and 100% timely as well. I had seen the new Remote Debugging button but havent tried until I watched your video. Thanks for opening that door! Unfortunately I ran into a "you are not authorized" error while trying to debug an automation I have on my unattended robot, but I will keep trying as this is a VERY handy tool. Thanks once again

Hello everyone. Just found out what my problem was: my Studio machine was connected to Orchestrator to an old classic folder while my newly installed unattended robot was connected to a modern folder. Once I changed my Studio connection (to modern folder) everything started to work. Just an update in case anyone incurs in the same problem

Hi Jeppe. so i understand. basically you are running the code in your studio but then using the remote machine to execute the code is that right? it is not like you are using the studio to debug the code that is on the virtual machine. Right? so basically it is very useful to test the code on production machine before publishing?

100% correct. Code from the Dev machine is executed on the production machine, so you can step through it and stuff, to see how it would work in a production environment.

Hi Raiko. My guess is that you are running 21.4.x or something like that? Remote Debugging was introduced in 21.10.3 I believe. Cheers, Jeppe

I only just recently started using this feature, and it works quite well, both intra-tenant using the Unattended Robot, but also inter-tenant with the Remote Machine option.
