I have some little questions for you. How long it took the modeling? How long the render? How long the Post in a straight workflow? And just for curiosity, how long to edit the video? AMAZING job and generosity for sharing.

Hm I'm not sure about the exact time. But I think modeling took about 20 hours. Rendering was about 2-3 hours. Post product was about 30 minutes. Editing video takes a couple of hours too 😊

OMG very helpful content! You're the best!!! I've one problem adding background- When I open photo in Photoshop, the background in Window isn't blank, white-grey pixels are there like PS transparent background but it IS in the *rendered image* , can you tell how to save Vray image where there is already nothing in background so I can add background scene?

Oh it really depends on the image, just gotta change it depending on the situation. As for the video, I believe I was using the quick selection tool to select the background instead of using the magic wand

I believe render ID is based on objects while material ID is based on materials. Usually Material ID is good enough though

Hi Minh... can you plaese tell me how do you render without background in Windows? In Vray 2.0 that was no problem, but wit glass in Vray 3.6 I can not get transparent background (so that one can easily change the background with a picture)? Thank you for all you videos- I learned a lot!

Hi Matej, I figured this out recently too! So for your glass materials of your windows, go to the refraction section, and change "Affect channels" parameter to "Color+alpha" Let me know if that works for you!

Probably because you're using a newer version. This was done in an older version of Vray

I saved render channels as vrimg file, they arent opening in photoshop and saving channels in any other file format doesn't export the render element, except for alpha and denoiser channel. How to export this and open in photoshop? I save effectresult from frame buffer.

for example i have my rgb layer as the base layer and then i add lighting pass. if i want my light to shine less bright instead of brighter (which is what happens when i use linear add mode) what can i do to create the vice verse effect? thank you

I think you would have to adjust the exposure of the image using camera raw filter for example
