I keep coming back to your videos for refreshers on Obsidian. The simplicity is aspect is what I like most. Good job man.

Thanks for the Vid! I now have my storage folder in one spot. I use tags for action. Like ToRead, ToSummarize, ToDo, AnkiDone, AnkiDo etc... that way, i can get the idea into Obsidian, and then check the tags for stuff I need to follow up on. I also use tags for categories as well. But i think that can be accomplished with folders as well. Still working it out. One cool thing is that you can filter tags in or out of the graph feature. Keep the vids coming!

Sounds like a good system. I tried tags for action items, but never got it to stick. What’s your secret sauce? I’m more slow to get into Obsidian, but have fewer deliberate actions once it’s there.

Wow I love this video!!!! You explain this so well. I was using tags like I did back when I used nested folder note apps. No wonder my vault was a mess.

Interesting - I create pages for people and source, like books and articles, and I use tags to categorize sources, types of content, and personal ones (like my/journaling or my/depression), I also use them for action tags.

What about status? Seems to be the most obvious use of tags for me.

I know this is popular, but I don't prefer to use tags in this way. I'm really only ever working on a handful of articles at one time (draft) and I have a hard time calling something done (complete), as I'm always refining, etc. That, and I don't want to re-tag, b/c it's just one more thing to manage. My 2cents. Thanks for asking.
