How to use text boxes in Word | MS Word Tutorials

Learn how to use and customise text boxes in word with this simple tutorial. Text boxes are one of my favourite tools in Word as they're so versatile. Not only can text be inserted and customised in the normal way but the box itself can be altered and changed dramatically by using colours, gradients, 3D effects and bevels. this tutorial will also show you how to align text boxes perfectly and move them around your document freely.

Excellent tutorial, thank you. I've used Text Boxes for years, but only in its simplest forms. A question: I'm working with Ms Word 365, new document, when Show/Hide is ON, all info including two Text Boxes, appears. When this is turned OFF, the Text Boxes disappear and in either case does not appear in Print Preview. I've posted the question on Ms forum recently, and 8 months ago, so far no response. Are you able to advise. Very many thanks. Mim.

how to select outside of textbox to add a new page?, it is adding a middle page but not page in the end? How do I insert a new page after a text box in Word?

You will either have to move the cursor to the bottom of the page and press RETURN or go to INSERT>PAGE BREAK
