I tried using the same camera and following all steps in the video, but the resolution and FPS is low, I think is because using that usb cable you can’t push 1080p I want to know if you could set 1080@60 with your camera.

How do you stop latency with OBS? Also Do you use photo mode when you do this? It gets a wider shot but I find that it can be very blurry

I am trying to stream with the SLR 3 but I find myself stuck in the limited time before my camera making the "click" sound and then powering down or something like that. Generally I would recommend a external mic when taking videos. The in camera mics are decent but they don't sound the best.

I did a view a week or two ago about the HDMI out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6amdYSOpZJpp6M the best part of using the HDMI is that you will get audio from your mic as well and don’t have to worry about syncing audio and video. When you use USB out there’s always been some type of sync issue when you have to match your PC mic to the USB video out of the SL3

In my case, my NEW SL3 started giving me problems when using it as a webcam with the Utility Beta. it has been giving me the error 20(Mechanical issue) since then. It actually works perfectly when taking pictures as long as I use the optical viewfinder. The moment I change into the digital one on photo mode or video mode(you know when the camera lifts the mirror and the sensor is exposed) it gives me the error I got the shutter replaced and after a couple of video shots, it gave me the same error. Eventually we replaced the whole mechanical system of it. I could use the camer well for a couple of days, but the issue came again. We´re trying to install the new firmware for it. Hopefully it resolves it. It´s been a pain!

I have the logitech c920 and even on 1080p it doesnt look the best. It does look good when you are streaming and it doesnt fill your whole screen.

Hey Binh, my SL3 camera works in OBS but just for a few minutes, then the USB Cable image with an red X appears. I bought the usb cable from CANON Website. I dont know why the Webcam utility has this problem :(

Can't say I have this issue. By any chance, does it go in and out for you if you wiggle the cable or wiggle the cable at the connector? Might be a bad cable or connector. But I do remember you said you just bought a new cable. Well I hope you figure it out!

it seems I'm doing something wrong but first, if I connect the camera via usb using the EOS webcam utility software it will not work for me. It shows an icon of the camera with a red error icon or either with a black screen showing NOTHING (I've tried quitting any EOS utility software that I do not even have bc some people say that I have to do that) , or second if I connect the camera via usb using Camera cam and Camtwist it does work, but the resolution is really crap. I appreciate if anyone has any ideas

Great Video but….Don’t waste your money on this setup. The Canon SL3 will shut off automatically after 30 minutes. There is currently no work around this yet. I’ve spent hours looking online for a solution to this. I could list all the things I’ve tried but it would take too long. Please inform your viewers before posting videos like this or make one on a work around.
