So... how do I use clipper card. I watched the whole thing waiting to find out and learned lots of ways to give you money, but not how to redeem card and get on train. Is there a followup video I can't find that you can link too?

So what I am getting from this is, you can add money to the cliipper card? So in a nutshell this works like a bank account for using the train. 100 bucks sounds too pricey a month.. I think it would be more fair if it were 35 bucks or so.. I think that should be the point of public transportation is to make it more attractive to use than general personal transportation. Safe vessels, decent prices and convenient destinations.. I think taxes on the elite should be used to fund this to have cheaper costs to use..

It's kind of like a debit card. You load money on the card directly through a machine, and you're good to go. Basically the same as other smart cards around the world.

Use a clipper card in Apple Pay. You can still add cash by holding the phone up to the clipper reader on the machine.

One thing I was NEVER told is you must tag your card at the terminal you exit from or you will be charged for traveling every existing zone in your direction! You must tag on and off!

$36 for two people to go from Petaluma to San Rafael and back.. I just mapquested it. It is 46 miles round trip. Assuming my car gets about 20 mpg, it will cost me about $7 in gas.. Sorry, I'm driving..

People don't hate buses. Buses have to use 101 and sit in the traffic. The whole point of SMART is to move people between the major population centers in the North Bay without using existing rubber tired infrastructure. The only fools here are the people who think the solution to traffic congestion on the roads is more rubber tired vehicles and more roads.

You are a REAL DUMMY Red Light Green Arrow. Today we had 6 accidents on 101, 6 on 101 Southbound, and my son saw one at Olympali Park at 3pm coming home on his bike. Where was the train at? what was the train doing? How many people did the train have? BEFORE we had a 'Smart' and BEFORE we had the construction going on outside Novato between Petaluma and San Antonio area, traffic USED to be heavy north 101 around 4pm to 7pm. Now it's heavy from 2pm to 7:30pm. Today alone, it was heavy from 11am to 7pm from East Washington all the way back to Rowland, how is that improving traffic? Southbound before the train, we had traffic from DeLong to Marin Civic Center at 7:15am to 9 or 10am. Now it's heavy from Atherton to...Greenbrae, to Lucky, to Tamalpais, today the accident in Mill Valley at 9:45am backed the traffic to Novato. Where was the train again? Could it BE that the train is unreliable? Does the train have a schedule like Bart? Does it run constantly? Southbound traffic heavy from 6:45 to 10am and also in Petaluma thanks to the new intersection at San Antonio, the traffic stays heavy out there until 8:30am, or sometimes 10am, not 7:30am as it used to be. Northbound heavy from 2pm to 7pm and Fridays, worse yet on Northbound. My son can barely get to Petaluma and ride the bike home and no, taking the DUMB train COSTS MORE then 3.50 busfare from San Rafael. Per the so called faster time Smart may have over the bus with the dumb traffic, you're telling my son to spend 5.25, sit down and shut up and be a good little commuter supporting the train that does NOTHING for Marin County like Bart does NOTHING for East Bay and Cal Train does NOTHING for South Bay. That's why I'm voting Judy Arnold OUT of this district. Get rid of Smart. Put in the bike path YOU promised we would get BEFORE this BOONDOGGLE.

How about letting people post on your site as you unjustly kicked my son off for stating a few facts about your rotten service? You also discredited me, an 80 year old veteran of Fort MIley from riding your train when it was free for the train was crowded and nobody gave a seat up, or got off in Novato. I believe in paying cash, or by token. This is a stupid system, Smart.
