Great work, is it final nitrogen application, right? It's not early for final application?

Nice vid, we personally give the forklift a rinse off every night when on fert. And the spreader after all that application usually only 2 days in total. We would do it nightly but it takes to long to do a thorough wash and a part wash just spreads it. But u can see where the fert starts to attack the metal overnight. My view is that it’s an expensive spreader and then metal will give up a lot quicker without washing than the electrics will by washing. Keep up the good work

EA Ben Thanks for the comment! Interesting points! Do you wash the whole forklift or just the forks/ front?
@fsking5 жыл бұрын
@@JJ_MacLeod we tend to wash the lot because it gets under the boom and on the cab, wouldn't be so bad if we were only loading the bags, but quite often i will cart them to the field on the tines so bits blow out. your just as well for the time it takes to do the lot, i mean it is only a rinse not full detergent wash.

We’ve just got a za-ts (mechanical, not hydro) with the amatron 4. How can i activate headland control on it?
@archievipond84005 жыл бұрын
Hi. Quick question, why do you drive against the way that the spray man goes?
@JJ_MacLeod5 жыл бұрын
Archie Vipond Mainly because of the headland corners. The sprayer reverses back up to the hedge, and I go right up to the hedge forwards. So it just means we only run the crop over in the corners one way - obviously reducing crop loss but also looks neater too.

I am considering buying either an Amazone or Kuhn spreader. Do you have any suggestions or comments on either?
@JJ_MacLeod4 жыл бұрын
I haven’t used a Kuhn spreader but I have been impressed by the Amazone. Simple to use and seems to give a a good spread pattern. I have heard that the paintwork on the Amazone is slightly better than on the Kuhn but I couldn’t tell you that from first hand experience...

We never put oil or diesel on washed off machinery as we think it doesn’t do anything rubber much good
