After 35 years in a Middle School classroom I know that teaching is a gift. Many brilliant people just cannot get information across to others in a form that is easily understandable. You have presented this in an excellent manner and left no doubt as to how to do the functions available in the program. Wonderful job. Looking forward to your other videos. Now I have to go type up my notes.

Could you help me? I would like to input a time in minutes and seconds, and have it display in just seconds for printing. For example if I type in 0:10:06 or 10.6 (as in 10min 6seconds) I want 606 to be displayed in that cell. If yes, could you also do this with hours?

very helpful and clear to understand. just learned about conditional formatting - if students enter correct answer in cell - the cell can turn green to let them know answer is correct. My question is how can I protect this formatting so that kids can't tinker with it? Can you show us how to do that?? I'll look for that video.

Thank you for the video. Do you have a video that explains how to set up a Google spreadsheet for 8.5" x 11". I have one and it scrolls very long. When I try to print, (hitting fit to page) it ends up cutting rows off in the middle. Hope that makes sense. Thank you!!
@helloteacherlady2 жыл бұрын
Hi Cindy, Fit to Page, Width or Height usually does the trick. Sometimes you have to play around with the settings a bit.

Hello Teacher Lady! I am using Google Sheets for my small Business. When I make an invoice and download it into a PDF form the font is so small.. how do I fix this. BTW I put the font as high as 18 so it can be a little visible. THANKS!!!!!!!!

Make sure you have Fit to Page or Fit to Width/Height selected. Try each of them to see which one is best for your specific document.

I learned how to make a crossword puzzle in sheets for my students' distance learning. I am having trouble editing the notes attached to the across/down clues. I changed the numbers in each note but when I click on the print option to view it, the old numbers are still showing. Do you know how I can change these? Thanks for your help.

what if one student had 3 lunch choices or say this column was subjects and each child had 5 or more different subjects under a 'class' column. How do you sort and filter each subject
@arthurazs3 жыл бұрын
Instead of resizing the columns multiple times, I'd just select them all and double click the spot used to resize them. This will make each column be resized to its optimal size :)

Hello There!!! Q: Microsoft Excel Made It So User Friendly To Locate, View And Delte Duplicates With Highlights. I Know Google Sheets Has A "Unique" Way Of Doing Such But It's NOT User Friendly At All. Is There An Easier Way To See, Manage and Have Duplicates Highted To Work WIth Using Sheets? My Job Does Not Use Microsoft Any Longer, We've Transitioned Strictly To The Use Of Google EVERYTHING, Can You Please Help?

On your Growth Data Chart, it looks like you have an image inserted into your cells for your title. If so, what size image did you build so it didn't get wonky? Also, what font is that?! I NEEEEED it in my life.
@helloteacherlady4 жыл бұрын
If you insert the image into the actual cell, it automatically resizes the image based on the width/height of the cell. I believe the font is from A Perfect Blend -- one of the ones with coffee in the name (can't remember exactly).

When you sorted by last name, all the data went with it! Mine sorts the name column but leaves the data of the previous student list so it's all mismatched. How do I fix this?
@aditisingh99424 жыл бұрын
Hey, you might want to freeze the last name column before you sort it. That way the rest of the data stays aligned with that column.

Cool tips, but we're just supposed to believe that all those opposing factions from Game of Thrones would allow themselves to be organized in a single spreadsheet? I'm not buying it. Daenerys Targaryen doesn't do 'permission slips'.
