Can you tell me why you keep using wax as the thread is pre waxed

Hi Paul, yes, Tying wax does many things, not only too the thread but also to the materials being applied. It strengthens the thread, (the sheer thread I use for all my dry flies is slightly waxed) so applying more helps. It makes your thread waterproof, it also stops the thread and materials from slipping... It has so many uses, I'll try and make a video explaining more...

Great tying video and demo of the foam cutters. What are you fishing the Minky to and how? (I haven't fished a Booby Fly before) Also I am interested in the scissors that you used in this video. Cheers Craig

Thanks Craig, You fish boobies on a fast sinking line on a leader length of your choice. When the fly line sinks the booby eyes keep the fly the leaders length off the bottom. So if you have weeds that are 1 meter tall you can use a leader that is 1.3 meter and your fly will fish just above the weeds. Trout find this very attractive...
