BEST WAY TO COLOR DIGITAL ART WITH THE LASSO TOOL; In this video i show you How to use the Lasso Tool to Color Digital art and i start off by showing you my settings for the lasso tool and how i use it for coloring digital art. it's a very easy technique to Color Digital art and i literally didn't use any brush here just the lasso tool. And ive seen concept artists like Imad anwan (great guy awesome channel you should check him out!) using the lasso tool for digital painting aswell so you can try this out and use it to color your drawings and tag me on instagram!

Very interesting approach, tho I don't know if I would have enough patience to use it fully, using a brush still seems for me to be more intuitive. Also, so many layers would bring me a headache :p At the very beginning, instead of using the magnetic lasso, you can just select the empty space around the character with magic wand and then choose "invert selection".

@@MohammedAgbadi I actually don't use photoshop anymore anyways; I do most of my professional work through procreate now. It doesn't have a magnetic tool but it does let you tap and sorta connect the dots but it can still be fairly abrasive. It's fine though, I prefer to paint as close to traditional as I can when working digitally anyways, so I am not too bummed about it or anything haha.

Hey thanks for the video. Your tutorials are helping a lot of people and is greatly appreciated. I do have a question if you don't mind.When it comes to t-shirts, we usually have limited color palettes, usually between 1-4 colors to play with. We use halftones to compensate. Have you ever worked on merchandise design with limited color? How do you go about tackling the lack of colors?
@MohammedAgbadi
@MohammedAgbadi 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I’ve don some designs. When I do that I usually think of representing my shadows with the negative space of the shirt if it’s a black shirt I’ll only draw using white as my light source. And if it’s white I’ll draw using black and draw only the shadows.

Hi Mohammed, thanks for the tutorial. Sticks and stones and rock is where I come from too, nothing beats Africa. I know you don't like questions but perhaps you know. How to allow the Lasso Tool to run beyond the canvas edge? At the moment as soon as my Lasso Tool reaches the canvas edge, instead of following the shape I'm creating with my pointer, it makes straight running ants along the canvas edge until my pointer is back inside the canvas. Selecting beyond the canvas edge would be convenient especially while feathering at anything more than zero. For instance the Polygonal Lasso Tool can by default run past the canvas edge. I want the Lasso Tool to do the same. Do you know how?

I love filling with the selection tool. It just makes things so much faster but as im watching this his left leg is looking a bit weird as if its been broken or something. I get the pose he was going for, it just doesn't look right to me with thr way its twisting and turning.
