Just bought a Mamiya 645 1000s and found this really helpful. Best of all I can keep coming back to it. Regards Paul.

I’ve been shooting film for years and I still have, love and regularly use my Mamiya 645 1000s. That 80mm 2.8 “kit” lens is as brilliant as any lens on that camera IMO. Great job pointing out the waist level finder limiting use to landscape oriented photos!🙏🏼

I love the waist level finder, though! Happy to shoot landscape portraits with it. 😀

So exited. Getting my own 645 1000 next week. I have a two week trip coming right after it and i have a project i want to create with it. This was by far the simplest and best "to the point" instruction video so far. 👍 & Sub. Thank you.

On the prism viewfinder you can adjust the ISO. But how do you do that when using the waistlevel viewfinder?
@threeminutepro Жыл бұрын
There’s no metering on the waist level viewfinder, so no need for ISO settings 😀

The back is not interchangeable on the M645 1000S. You can’t use the rb67 lenses with the m645. This link has a lot of info: reddit.com/r/Mamiya/s/M5WxnKmbnN

I love waist level viewfinders in 6x6 cameras (I own a Hasselblad 501CM and Rolleiflex 3.5E). I see no real pupose for thos finders in non-square cameras.
@threeminutepro4 ай бұрын
It limits you to horizontal format, but you get more photos on each film
@Kref34 ай бұрын
@@threeminutepro Sorry for the missunderstanding, butI did not say I see no pupose in 645 cameras or that I see no purpose in the Mamiya 645 specifically. I said: I see no pupose in waistlevel finders on top of a 645 camera. Meaning: If you shoot 645, slap a prism on top and you have a great camera. Not non-square cameras make no sense; waist level finders on non-square cameras make no sense.
