As a blind user, I tried navigating teams earlier today after getting my new Windows computer, and am loving it. Way easier in my opinion to get around and everything is placed well and and love the shortcuts. Accessible on all platforms which is great. I use NVDA as my screen reader.

I'm glad there are so many upgrades, but I will be using exactly 0 of them since I'm only a user of one tenant. That wouldn't be a big deal except the SAVED message feature is gone - which is huge for me. This is my to-do list and I NEED this feature to tame the chaos of Teams. PLEASE BRING BACK THE SAVED FEATURE!!! Without this option, Teams is almost useless for me.

It is now available for corporate customers. IT Admin needs to enable to make it default on or "switchable"

New teams is missing the option to change camera settings. My camera is just a little too far away, so I always zoom in a bit. But I can't do this in the new teams, so I switched back. I hope they fix this sometime.

How do I get rid of the share bar at the top of page when presenting. It blocks my tabs, so everything time I want to go into a new tab while presenting, I have to stop sharing and then share again once I have changed tabs. Very frustrating & not very professional when presenting in a business meeting 😢

There are no sound notifications anymore. We have to use Windows notifications bcause new Teams app (same as the new Outlook) don't have it's own notifications. Windows notifications are a NO-GO for my company which is very bad since we got use to M365 and soon we will have to look for a diferent solutions.

@@TheTioram bcs recruiters need quiet time while doing phone screens and can't bother to remember to disable notifications every time candidate make sudden call...icon color change is way better and also having controlled notifications only from apps they use, like OLD Teams, Outlook, RingCentral, etc.

Today I opened teams to get a modal of what’s new in teams, however, as my teams is in dark mode but the modal doesn’t adapt to dark it was a colourful banner then black text on very dark grey - so it seems the what’s new in Teams this time was….. an eye test!!

Whenever organizer create an meeting with auto recording enabled. If someone joins the meeting before the organiser joins the meetinga automatically own by who joins first not organiser. So why there is meeting organizers feature? 🤔 Let's say, we wants to a Store the recording in a centralised location but in teams for now it's not possible. 😢

@MortenNormannAlmeland We have discovered that the functionality IS there, it is just been way over complicated now. The location for "Classic Teams" was in the folder \%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Teams\Backgrounds\Uploads and you could just place the background and thumbnail in there. Now that location is \%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams\Backgrounds\Uploads ... BUT... You cannot just drop the image files in that directory, you MUST have a Thumbnail for each image and both the Thumb and the image file MUST be renamed to a GUID to make it unique with the Thumbnail having the same guid with _Thumb after it. I don't understand why it has to be so difficult as the pre-canned backgrounds in the folder just above "Uploads" are not GUID names There are some PowerShell scripts online that you can find to accomplish this. Not simple, but once you have a process it should work. We are in the middle of doing this right now as our corp marketing want's us to use company backgrounds. Hope this helps

Can you populate the new Teams with content and duplicate it with the content - channels alone just doesn't cut it. For some situations it is a hassle having to duplicate the content for each cloned/duplicated Teams e.g. in a class situation

I just realized that the Quick Message functionality appears to have been dropped in the latest versions of Teams (mac). Used to be 1 click in the search bar, then @username, enter, type a message, optionally hit enter again to take you to the chat window. Now it just searches.. I used this all the time so I sure hope it's put back or there is another way to achieve this?

Why is it that I still cannot delete old chats? My teams instance is cluttered with one off chats with people I’ll never chat with again. Also the teams window uses up way too much space and rather than allow people to choose whether they want to see the last message sent or received underneath the name the person, Microsoft forces it on on. Teams is an eye sore. Last but not least why are „reactions“ worth an extra tab? Yet more clutter and yet one more mouse action to reset the counter in the task bar. Teams is a pain

Even he shows device settings which is likely the most used setting that is now hidden under multiple levels meaning in most meetings I'm having to tell people where to click to find it. Device settings is likely as important an item as can be imagined to be so hidden away that even he had to point out where it is in the menu!

Been using new teams for a while each day when I open it’s channel roulette as to what channel/chat will be the active one, and still we have activity notifications that show even when you’re in the channel or have read the content you got notification for, would be good if that was tied to the content so you read the reply and the activity knows it has been read so no need to have it there with the dot. If you quit and relaunch it asks if you want to swap back to classic new teams has an inferiority complex 😂

Almost had my anti-Teams work group ready to go fully to Teams, until I had to tell them you can't create meetings in private subchannels. Since I had sold them on how great it was to be able to do everything via Teams, when they found out we could not schedule meetings, it was a hard "no thanks" from them 😥 I have gathered this is not anything Microsoft wants to change.... unfortunately. So back to Outlook and zoom we go..... 😭😭

Why not skip the private channel for them and do a separate Team for them? Then all features are available. If you need privacy for files, create a separate document library with restricted permissions. Some ideas to consider :).

UI and settings still look clunky and all over the place. Not sure this is real "Simpler", but it sure isnt nearly as simple as other similar apps. All i got from this was, "its the same, just a bit faster". - You have Far too many "3-dot menus" scattered around. - Has the issue of chat NOT auto scrolling been fixed? And yes, it IS an issue. If that is how you intend it to work, then its garbage and you need to change it. - Are there more status messages relating to WORK.. since.. you know.. this is suppose to be a WORK focused app? "Lunch", "Out of Office", "Working from Home", ect? And does the Duration (if it still exists) work properly now? - Does image insert actually work now instead of just posting a link? - Did you add the ability to SCHEDULE updates instead of forcing them on us in the middle of the day and having the app just suddenly close down and restart itself? For that matter, why not integrate the updates into O365 if that's installed so they ONLY install when the OFFICE updates are installed? - Have you fixed the broken Activity notifications that don't go away when you View them, or still notify you despite being in the location of the notification? I mean, you made it faster.. Great. Well done.. But you have a LOT more work to do yet to make this an effective Office tool.

Definitely an improvement and tenant switching HUGELY improved (a significant factor for a consultancy). Ref design, if you look at this side-by-side with new Outlook, it already looks dated, missing many of the new office design cues!
