hey Mr Guru can you tell Photoshop 'cause you know him that they should add to their new DAZ master class tutorials an awesome Photoshop bridge one because it's so epic the power that it gives you to create quickly from Workflow And the only caveat as far as Photoshop bridge being awesome is in Photoshop the little window that it opens up when you click Automate And then Photoshop Bridge they should make that just more awesome looking like a Photoshop window to highlight how epic it is because it doesn't really look that great but it the the power it gives you to create quickly is awesome... will this work in 64 bit I thought maybe I saw something but don't really remember

Great video. Made me a subscriber. However, could you post a short video on troubleshooting the Install Path for the 3d Bridge? I see nothing when it comes to the File>Inititate>Photoshop. Basically, I have the widget to open DAZ from Photoshop, but nothing showing in DAZ photoshop, and I have tried to choose my file path several times. Any ideas what could be going wrong?
@WPguru5 жыл бұрын
Thank you for subscribing 😍 Both Photoshop and DAZ Studio seem to change all the time, and every time an update comes out, something may break. Here’s what I do to keep it functional: after either application has updated, use Install Manager to uninstall the bridge. Then, change the path in Install Manager to the new version of Photoshop. Now install the bridge again (with both PS and DAZ closed). If that doesn’t work, it may be that Adobe have made a change that is not yet supported in DAZ Studio and we’ll have to wait a bit for feature to catch up. Note that if you’re running a beta version of DAZ Studio, it comes with its own version of the bridge. Let me know if this helps.

Hi all! Hi Mr. Jay, thank you so much for this tutorial videos and the finest help you provide here! I was having a few issues and since I started to watch your Daz tutorials many things inside started to make sense to me. Thanks to you I´m now having a lots of fun creating a few characters for my first 3d novel, i still need to learn a lot´s about Daz . I´m using an old version of photoshop cc 2015 which seams prepared whit bridge, but seams it doesn´t have the correct setup to receive a Model from Daz. It´s retail software might be easy to fix, seams something about the Adobe cloud. Does we always need to have Photoshop log in online account to make this Bridge Transfers or its other way to make this operation offline? Thank you once again Master Jay!! I go also take a look in your Patreon, Kind regards! and Happy Hollidays season!

Hello Jay, almost everything you went through in this video works in the latest version of Daz and Photoshop. But, for some reason the Export Scene as U3D is grayed out. Looks like everything is ok ...Any ideas?

The Photoshop bridge hasn't seen an update on many years, I'm glad to hear most of it still works. Adobe have removed several 3D features from Photoshop last year, I have a feeling U3D support was probably part of that and hence no longer works. helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/3d-faq.html

this is great tutorial.. just want to ask, my photoshop layer automatically has white back ground. in my daz i don`t have any bk. Do you know how to solve this problem?? also, it opens another new tab in photoshop not like in the same tab layers. its doing it separately.
@WPguru3 жыл бұрын
You can avoid the white background by choosing "render to new layer". This will create the image on a separate layer with transparency. I don't use the bridge much anymore, but have just tested this with DS 4.15 and Photoshop 2021.

Hi, Thanks for the Tutorial. I'm trying to use the Bridge in Photoshop CC 2020 and it just won't show up under >Automate. The Daz folder did get installed in the Plugins folder but I'm wondering if maybe it now has to go somewhere in the photoshop plugins folder that is in Application Support.
@WPguru5 жыл бұрын
The Install Manager should take care of the correct placement for all files, as long as the path to photoshop is correct, the bridge should work. Having said that, DAZ aren’t the fastest when it comes to supporting new versions of Photoshop. 2020 is a fairly recent release, perhaps it’s not supported yet. I seem to remember it working with 2018 but haven’t tried it after that.

Hi there , i'm doing exactly what you do but i cant render with no background. It always come with a white background and makes it useless for me. Can you help me with it?
@WPguru6 жыл бұрын
Hmmm... in Photoshop, my rendered image comes in as a separate transparent layer. The white actually comes from Photoshop's background layer, which can easily be deleted or set to invisible. Is that not happening in your case?

mine doesnt installed this massages pop up Install Manager cannot find a required path. The package for "Photoshop 3D Bridge for DAZ Studio 4.10+ (Mac 64-bit)" requires that the installed path for "Photoshop CC, CS6, CS5, CS4 (64-bit)" be defined. Make sure that a path for this application is present on the "Applications" page of the "Settings" dialog, then try again.
@WPguru6 жыл бұрын
That message means you haven't setup the correct path in Install Manager, so it doesn't know where to install Photoshop. in Install Manager, click on the little gear icon at the top right, then select Applications. Find Photoshop in the list (or add it using the plus icon at the bottom right), then use the three dots icon to navigate to the folder in which your current version of Photoshop is installed. When you're done, try installing the bridge again.

Do you have 3D Bridge for Photoshop MAC64 plugin file? Can you share it? Thank you
@WPguru8 жыл бұрын
It's available for free from DAZ 3D. When you download DAZ Studio, the Photoshop Bridge is part of the deal. The Mac version is indeed 64 bit (Macs don't do 32 bit anymore).

It is now 2021, can you make an update video for this?
@WPguru3 жыл бұрын
In all honesty, I don't use the bride much. I found it fairly clunky for texturing. DAZ Studio can use native PSD files, so if you want to make a change to a texture, it's more convenient to apply a PSD during texturing and see changes live in DAZ Studio upon save (CTRL+I will refresh textures). I've not used the option to render directly onto a layer in Photoshop much either due to the limited size it could support in the past. It's unlikely I'll make an update, unless there are significant improvements in the bridge.

Hey Jay! This seems like a very quick and useful workflow. However, sadly DAZ is not updating after I change the PSD file. I create the PSD file, load it as base texture -> That works. But if I make another change and save the PSD again it is not live updated as demonstrated in this video. This is strange, because when I hover over the, in my case "blade" base texture. I can see the changes applied in the little preview window. But the viewport does not show those changes. Do you have the same problem? EDIT: Found a possible workaround. Open the "layered image editor". Don't change anything, just click accept and it will refresh the texture. However still the same question for you Jay. Is this only my system or isn't it working for you as well in 2020? EDIT2: ... ... ... I could have just watched literally 15 seconds more and you are mentioning the "automatically refresh images" option. :D :D :D
