14:48 incorrect. If the arm is extended and could not be closed completely, but in settings you set "fully close"the system will try to close softly, if there is no room to close it will go back and close with a gap. DJI thought about that and done self check process.

Is there a way for the gimbal to be framed up so I can stay a few meters away from the Gimbal ie it's on stand and it can follow me from left or right or up and down? Thank you
@writedirect3 ай бұрын
Yeah, you can have it follow you with Active Track and the Raven Eye transmitter. Raven Eye comes with the RS4 Pro combo.
@geoffwilkingsphotography3 ай бұрын
@@writedirect Amazing, thank you. I think I'm missing something about Active Track, do you have a video showcasing it more? I thought I needed to buy the Lidar for Active Track to work? Thank you so much for your tutorial. Can you please help me to understand about settings on turn off you are talking at 14:45. From the factory my Ronin RS4 Pro was trying to completely fold on turn off with my heavy Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K and the roll arm smashed the lower arm. This happened 2-3 times. Only after that I discovered this setting. You clearly state 'if this hits this arm you gonna damage your gimbal'. Can you please confirm that my gimbal is already damaged because of what happened and should I send it back to DJI? I am really worried now.
@writedirect4 ай бұрын
Hey man...So I'm only going off what DJI said which was that damage could occur if that happened. The default setting should have been the partial fold--At least I thought that's how mine was at default. Not the complete fold up. Sorry. Ugh, I know the feeling.

I love your videos and watch all of them. I just cannot seem to make this balance. I am using a Rokinon Cinema Lens on a Blackmagic 6k Pro. I know you said this Gimbal can handle everything, but maybe my Lens is just too big. I've tried everything. I'm usually good with all of this technical stuff. I've seen your other video where you balance it on the RS3. I still couldn't do it. I film in two days and was really hoping to get this thing working by then, but maybe I'll just stick to tripod shots. Still - excellent video! I love when you can just put it in any direction and it will stay. It's like magic.
@writedirect5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your support! If you watched both videos, you know what to do. So two things: 1) You might want to counter balance the back. Or position anything on your camera cage to push weight to the back. And worst case scenario, you can shoot and get decent shots without a perfect balance. I did that plenty of times on my last film. it won’t work for fancy gimbal moves. But for simple tracking, dolly in and out, stuff like that, it’ll do it.
@tedarthur92334 ай бұрын
@@writedirect Thanks for your response. So you're saying, just with "simple tracking" moves, it will balance? I just had counterweights delivered to my place. I still can't do it. But if you're saying it will work with simple tracking, then you're saying it will give me stabilization? Because I don't need to so anything fancy with my gimbal. I just need stabilization. We both know how stable these blackmagic cameras can be without a gimbal, ha ha ha.
@writedirect4 ай бұрын
@@tedarthur9233 I wish I was there in person to check it out for you. It should balance. But yes, even if it doesn’t have perfect balance it will still pull off basic stuff. It’s gonna work the motors more during the battery faster. But you can do it.

@@writedirect I'm about 30 minutes west of Chicago. Are you anywhere near that? ha ha ha. Anyway, thank you for the encouragement. And thank you for the responses. It means a lot.
