How To Use The Sole Edge Iron

If your sole's edge is looking a little unkempt, especially in your closed channel sole shoes, the sole edge iron is a great tool to not only help revive the sole's edge but also to seal it so that the channel leather doesn't separate from the sole.
It is a great little tool to keep your shoes looking as fresh as possible for as long as possible.
In thid video I used the fantastic shoe care products by Paul Brunngard, which are quickly becoming my most utilized, especially the goat hair brush!

I also have this sole edge iron and it’s a game changer! Would you recommend using everytime you shine or once every couple of shines? So it doesn’t wear the leather too much

Just received sole edge iron following this video. Can you please advise if it matters which end of the iron you use? If yes, what does the other end do or is it for different colour edges? Yes, I'm British from my spelling of colour. Thanks.

Hey Felix, happy to have helped! The round side is for the toe although, personally, I just use the edge I showed. Also yes be careful when using it on natural soles if there is dark residue best to clean it first as not to get onto the natural leather
