No be honest, It’s not that complicated. I mean, it doesn’t move unless put on something else moving, only way to kill is pow and crush. Can crush any enemy. Is affected by gravity. Has defeating clear condition. Done

@@gabrielgiaogomes1338 it’s been a while since I made the level, but I believe I had a bunch of bill blasters stacked on a rail, and when spaced correctly they will shoot out at set intervals. I used a similar design to the buzzy helmet train concept

Here’s a use for snowballs in more open world levels. Have snowballs through out the level that can be used to hit ? blocks to go up vines to go to new areas.

One cool thing I learned while making my level “Lemmy’s Spikeball Spectacu-liar” Is that when you place a parachute on a spike ball and put it in an upward facing pipe, it will shoot out before the parachute activates. I use this as a sort of shooting platform that you have to spin jump off of. (if anyone is interested the level code is: ST2-GBV-QLF)

You can get the Spike Ball from a Spike to roll immediately in SMB1 and SMB3 styles (just like in SMW and SMB3) by putting the Spike on a Muncher and any ground in front of the spike. Also you can kill a Chain Chomp and leave the stake behind by putting 2 Spike Balls directly above it.

When people say something like "The spike ball destroys itself when the job is done lll leaving nothing to collect behind, unlike the shell" I always think "but what about the dry bones shell?" Its faster and the only other main difference is that it requires a spring to start moving. The spike ball is amazing, but in most general cases, the dry bones shell gets the job done better. Lets take a moment to give the dry bones shell the love it deserves! (And no, I'm not asking for a dry bones shell breakdown)

If placed in a regular clown-copter, it can make a lava-filled, spike trap ceiling boss lair much more dangerous, especially if you're required to fight the boss as Link... ... The objective I made required Link to dunk his bombs next to the hard blocks holding up 3 individual walls of double-stacked bill blasters loaded with giant winged red cheep cheeps. I used semi-solid platforms to help juke the two clown-copter piloting spike balls (one large, one small), and to indicate safe areas to land, provided you do a precautionary down thrust in case of giant red winged cheep cheeps. The third and final wall is indicated by munchers and 2 red bill blasters, loaded to shoot giant winged red cheep cheeps at a higher velocity. Upon dunking this final wall, a giant bob-omb at the top of the stack detonates upon contact with the lava, revealing the final test, a wall of hard blocks you must blow up with a bomb from Link... provided you still have the costume. You must do this while managing the cheep cheeps and evil flying bumper cars, and it is advised you only swipe Link's sword at the propellers, not the spike balls themselves, as the resulting collision will likely bounce you into the lava below. As for sword-pogo-ing the spike balls from above, mind the spike trap stalactite ceiling, but it can be a safety measure to avoid a huge cluster of cheep cheeps. The lair is one screen wide, and two screens tall, with the boss fight tacked onto the end of a monstrously epic two checkpoint dungeon of action puzzles and tactical combat... which took me three months and several hours to upload... and the others who get to play it get the checkpoints I was denied in the first phase of paying the insanely hefty checkpoint tax. Thankfully, I've learned to make much more reasonable Link levels since then.

this video really really highlights the weaknesses of how information is arranged in item-breakdown you can afford to be less verbose about spawning only one copy of an item that is to say that only one copy of an item will be spawned until it is destroyed and then that allows another new copy to spawn also mario's spikeball helmet interactions made it in twice and the spikeball doing damage to enemies / bosses happens literally twice back to back

spike balls will bounce off of: all of these blocks i showed it bouncing off of already when i showed the spike balls and snowballs not being destroyed when bouncing into things above spike balls will get more speed or less speed from: all of these things i showed the spike ball rolling on when i showed the spike ball rolling into the sides of objects and blocks and when i showed the spike and snowball momentum with rolling infinitely or coming to a stop

i think in this case the weakness is how the information is presented the first time, the second mention is more in line with previous scripts you could have saved yourself easily 10 mins by focusing first on the differences between snowballs and spike balls and then sticking to split screen footage to highlight minor differences
