How to use the Spindle Hand Press to punch holes in Biothane or Leather and to fix Rivets

Hi there! Thanks for sharing the video! I'm having trouble using my spindle hand press, it's the first time I'm using it, and I can't get it right. I'm putting too much strength on it, and am surprised to see how you guys do it without any struggle. Do you have any tips that can help me? I really appreciate any help you can provide.
