As a flightattendant I use the trinity zero for years now both on board the aircraft and in my hotel room…I love it!!!!

Shoot. I really don't need another coffee maker but now I want this. I travel often and this seems even easier to travel with than aeropress.
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
I'd say it is easier - no paper filter - pretty much a similar routine in cleaning and makes a consistent cup of coffee 👌
@PositiveEnergyPodcast2 жыл бұрын
I agree it looks easier to travel with, but probably not easier to clean. It looks as if the spent coffee puck would end up being a soupy mess, where as with the AeroPress, the solid puck simply pops out and the rest of the unit is mostly clean.

So simple! Our daughter bought us one of these to use in our camper van. Perfection!

What other brewer would you say the results are similar to? Is it like what you get out of a moka pot, aeropress, drip system, or something else entirely?
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
I would say it would be similar in strength to a Moka Pot or a low ratio Aeropress - like 25g in to 100ml water say. Or even a V60 "ristretto" - if there is such a thing 😂
@christophermoore76573 жыл бұрын
Bought one of these from you guys last week and have enjoyed the results so far! May replace my Nanopresso on work trips! Is it normal for some of the coffee grounds to work their way up into the top chamber during the pumping process, or am I filling to high/using too fine a grind? Still makes great coffee and none of the grounds end up in the cup, but I just want to make sure I am doing it right :-)
@AlternativeBrewing3 жыл бұрын
thanks so much! Yes, it is normal that some grounds work their way up - it shouldn't effect the overall process though. Kind regards, Alternative Brewing

Nice and travel friendly product to have. How about the taste compared to portable espresso maker? Thanks
@AlternativeBrewing3 жыл бұрын
It's good - it's not espresso but it can be made quite strong in flavour. Way more compact than a portable espresso machine though :)

Thank you for the tutorial! I have just received my brewer and tried it out. Happy with it! What do you think of pouring 100÷100 ml through the coffee filter instead of pouring water on top of the standard brewing? Pros and cons?
@AlternativeBrewing2 жыл бұрын
Fantastic! Great idea - it could get a string brew that 👌

how does it compares to aeropress? which one taste better?
@AlternativeBrewing3 жыл бұрын
The Trinity Zero has a richer flavour used as is .. with the metal filter and large bre ratio. The Aeropress can brew a similar coffee to the trinity but is not the usual way in which you'd brew with it
@dimdimdimsum88083 жыл бұрын
@@AlternativeBrewing noted. because this is more like kafflano compact but only half way there. comparing it to manual "espresso" maker would not be apple to apple. comparing it with aeropress would be much better.

Can’t find an answer anywhere: does this support cold water brewing?

what grind size do you recommend for this brewer? trying to get the fines out of my brew.
@AlternativeBrewing3 жыл бұрын
Go a little coarser than you are at the moment. Press slower and more steadily to avoid pressing fines through the metal filter 👍

After owning a Delter Press for over a year, which needs all of the silicone to be removed and fastidiously cleaned regularly, it didn’t take me long to break a tab on the Trinity Zero’s silicone pump trying to remove it. It still works, but not regularly pulling the lid apart can lead to questionable smells. Is there any way to hygienically clean it without breaking it?
@AlternativeBrewing Жыл бұрын
half vinegar, half water, and a teaspoon of lemon juice will keep it clean. soak for a little while, then rinse with warm/hot water.

trinity zero vs delter press.. what better?
@AlternativeBrewing3 жыл бұрын
Do you prefer a Filter Coffee or a string Espresso like coffee? The Delter will certainly make for an easier Filter style coffee - whilst the TZ can do it - it's more designed around getting a good rich concentrated coffee easily - and portable than adding hot water or milk

I don't like it. No matter how I grind the coffee, fine or coarse or anywhere between, water gets pushed out from around the edges of where the coffee basket screws into the body of the brewer.

Doesn't seem like enough bars of pressure to make a proper espresso (which requires ~9 bars of pressure). Still a great concept for travellers, though.

It never says espresso, it just says it's strong coffee

quite lame compared to the Aeropress.
@AlternativeBrewing4 жыл бұрын
It doesn't have the degree of variability in brewing recipes like the Aeropress does - but I would say it certainly say it's on par from being a great travel coffee brewer - and especially for both milk and black coffee
