I inherited this camera from my grandfather. I was hoping you would talk a bit about the lens and how to remove it. I noticed your lens has some dust and I can pretty much guarantee the lens on mine has that and probably more. Great video!

Very nice inheritance! I'm afraid I'm not brave enough to disassemble the camera to clean the lens. Some are harder to do so than others. Now, have you tried taking photos with the camera as-is? Perhaps the dust is not an issue. I know that we fear that any amount of dust and such will ruin our photos, but that's actually not the case. The imperfections of my photos came from a dusty scan, not a dusty camera. I would love to have you try the camera and then report back if the dust caused you any issues! 📸

Hey again, do you know if a camera strap can be added to this camera?

Hi there. It does not have the regular eyelets to string a strap through. However you can buy the type that screws into the tripod socket at the bottom and that works pretty well. This camera was designed to be in its original case and the case has the strap 🤷‍♀️

The good news is that old cameras can use new shutter release cables! I bought a brand new shutter release a few months ago, and I just tested it with my Vito and fires, no problem (remember that it needs film to fire the shutter). So, any generic one should work; they are universal. Glad to help!

Hey! What if you need to open up to f3.5 or around there for darker days. Can you still set to triangle? Or does it limit the field of few from 3.5 feet to 4ft. What’s does the circle mode mea . Thank you so much for any additional information!

Happy to help: 1. If you need to open to f/3.5 you can still triangle focus. HOWEVER, the focus area will be greatly reduced. Subjects within 6-8ft (or 1.8m to 2.4m) will be in best focus. If you close down to f/16, triangle focus gives (as I said in my video) 4.5ft to Infinity (1.3m to Inf). So, if you use wider apertures, you must be certain of what you need to be in focus, an physically move yourself and the camera that close to the subject, or you'll get blurry photos. To make it harder, the viewfinder does not show focus, only framing. 2. Circle mode is to supposed to be for the furthest subjects. At f/16, Circle Mode, you should get focus from 8ft to Infinity. At Triangle Mode, you should get focus from 4.5ft to Infinity. Both could give good results, but Circle is more about distance, Triangle is more about near and distance. 3. Hope this helps!
