this is misinformed, and you can see clearly from just how mangled the disk is after you cut it. the different types have nothing to do with what shape line you are cutting, as all of them can do all shapes. what matters is what side you want the cut-off scrap. firstly the yellow snips are not for long running lines of any type, only for small cuts that require a single snip. the green snips are for when you want the waste to go out to the right, the red are for waste going left. it works this way because the blades in them have different shapes - a straight one and a curved one on different sides to curve the waste in different directions. if you tried making the same cut with all 3 snips you will see the results in where the warping occurs.

Kelly Stanly fat max are ok for a weekend or mybe use once in awhile "wiss is a professional tool the sheet metal he was cutting was thinner than paper wiss tin snips can cut ridiculous thick sheet metal. Spend a little more and get the best. You don't want a tool to brake while your using it. Or for a cheap tool to mess up a panel your fitting on a car or truck

Hello Science Sir ? Is that What you call yourself? You are doing it all wrong, that is why you cannot get a clean cut on some projects. Remember there are 2 jaws, the lower jaw is connected to the upper handle. If this jaw is on the left of the cut, this side of the cut will not be a clean cut. If this is the useable part of your projects you have 3 options: 1.- Change your snip to the one that has the lower jaw on the right of your piece. 2.- Start the cut from the opposite side. 3.- or turn your snip upside down. That is the proper way of using tin snips and you should find out why there are 3 main color handles of tin snips and what they are for?

Thanks for your query. The yellow one is for stright cut, widely used in diy as compared to othe two (used for bend cut). U can do the curve cutting using this yellow one also but not as efficiently as we can do with the other two. If ur a professional, u must go for 3 of them, but if want these only for light jobs like diy, then it's better to choose the yellow snip. Regards

I don't think he knows. The red and the green snips are reverses; not left curve not right curve but if it's marked "L" means left is the cut-off side, the right side is the good side. If your cut is not on the correct side either change your positions or in some situations turn your snip upside down will do the trick. The yellow handle snip is for short secondary cuts (not final finished cuts) which helps you achieve flawless results with the red or green snips
