I was stressing on finding wood pieces for my latest craft passion. (Everything comes tomorrow, so I’m excited, and I’m hopeful I don’t screw it up!😂) One thing I’ve read, is the types of wood, that works best. Your appears to have worked well, but I’ve read basswood and poplar, are the best. Which is good bc the expensive woods don’t turn out well. (Cherry, walnut, oaks…) This looks like it was really fun. Ik this video is 2 years old, but I’m wondering if you ended up doing a lot more pieces, or was it a once and done experience?

Huh, never heard of torch paste before until now. Sounds like the wood equivalent of heat-set embossing powder. Have to give it a future try! 👍🏻

would it be possible to burn it through if i have applied mod podge (which is glue) to the wood? I've painted it with mod podge for a different project and now want to use it for wood burning.

Yes best to sand the wood before applying & wipe wood down, let dry before applying paste. Note She did say she sanded wood.

You just keep the heat on it. It bubbles first then burns it!
