Works like a charm. Been playing Montreal biggest clubs and venues with this feature and never had any issues. What is also cool is that you can easily switch from your HID Link to USB on the CDJs. Back 2 back with other artists made easy.

Sir nice video this is vey helpful to others but i just want to correct something in your video in 2:11.. You can do HID mode too in Traktor Scratch Pro without the box and timecode too. Just a friendly correction here Sir. More power! :)

Great tutorial but not all of use are playing gigs yet and can't afford that gear. I would like to know if I can set up my Gemini 650's in HID mode or what is something I could get that wont cost me $1000 per deck. I'm trying to transition away from my S4 and that svnc button lol

yes Instinct HK , you are correct. i simply said that just because you don't NEED the traktor scratch kit in order to use this, which saves some cash.

Great Tutorial and easy to follow. I have 2 x CDJ 900 and have done everything you have outlined but when selecting the decks (CDJ900RACK) in the output routing section, it is not visible or selectable in the drop down menu? I am able to control my song list form my CDJ's and select tracks, but only the left CDJ is heard and the right isn't? Also my crossfader is not working between the two?

@rolf erans, unfortunately, traktor stopped supporting that particular line of pioneer cdjs (850). one can design their own midi map for it, or even download one from the traktor or pioneer forums.

great video! I did get it working w my CDJ2000nxs & DJM 900 nxs but have a few hickups... all my cue points don't show up only 2 out of the 3. Also one deck keep saying "calibrating" while it's playing. I'm running it w Mavericks on a MBP Retina (late 2013) and all my drivers are up to date w CDJs & mixer... it's a lil frustrating...I haven't seen any recent videos in 2014 of using Traktor in HID mode so not sure if anything has changed...

What about if you are using two different cdjs? say one 2000 and one 900? Would it still work the same when traktor uses them as one soundcard?

can you use a USB hub with no problem? some of the later Mac models don't have two slots on the same side.

Will I be able to run Traktor Scratch Pro 2.1.2 through the CDJ 2000's NXS without any issues? Also is it true you have to select advance in HID mode on the CDJ's as well? Cheers

Instead of losing some time to create this "Aggegation" thing in audio device, just use the app of Pionner CDJ_Agregator and launch it just after plugged the CDJ's. And you will be sure to always have the sound card recognized. Cheers!

What version of traktor is that ? 2.6 what ? , I went in to a club and only one cdj was running audio throughout the mixer. everything was set up exactly like your video. The cdj was controlling traktor but no signal

Corey Steward , if the gemini's have a TSI for traktor, then it should work. instead of a few clicks like the cdj2000, one would simply need to import the tsi map.

This method is not allowing to create aggregated device "on the fly", while other DJ playing on second CDJ via usb. What about CDJ Aggregator from Pioneer? Can I start it with only one USB plugged in? Can I hit play on this deck in Traktor and than to connect second USB cable/deck, when previous DJ faded out?

why not start with a usb stick on your first track and switch to HID mode later? no stress in entering your set then...

Does anyone know if its possible to disable the touch sensitive platter (enabled in VINYL mode) in the mapping environment? Using the Pioneers in CDJ mode has problems with the Play/Pause button which Native Instruments don't appear to be fixing anytime soon.

then you didn't create the aggregated device in the Midi Settings correctly. had that same issue a couple of weeks ago and had to play with one player Hooked to the pc and on the other one i had to use a usbdrive.

I just bought a DJM- 850 and I have cdj-400's..I would like to use my existing Traktor -Pro.. I hooked them up ,but I'm only getting one channel in the mixer working. so I'm getting both tracks or both decks in the same channel. obviously not getting to pre-listen my tracks before drop,because automatically plays on the same channel same sound level..help please !

Hey guys, I have 2 CDJ-2000NXS's have access to and Traktor 2.7.1 crashes on me every once in a while when I load a track into deck A in HID mode. It's not a soundcard issue as I have used the DJM-900NXS as the soundcard and also the CDJ aggregate setups. I have not swapped the CDJs deck sides to see if the problem would switch to Deck B or not but is anyone having the same issue? Just straight up crashes...

Um, just use CDJ Aggregator by Pioneer, open your DJ software and select which CDJ controls which deck and you're done

VERY IMPORTANT!!!! Do not forget to switch every CDJ to different MIDI CHANNELS in the adjustments of the CDJ (hold Menu button on a CDJ). One CDJ should use Midi Channel 1 and the second - Midi Channel 2. Otherwise Traktor will upload tracks to both decks which is not good at all :)

Yes ! What I had to do was to download the 32 bit to traktor or actually added to the exiting 64bit to the Traktor softwar. since pioneer gear works only on 34bit.. So in other words it was not my pc nor the DJM-900 nexus. yay ! got it working.. Thanks for getting back to me. I really appreciate that.

Its seriously that simply to make them an aggregated device? Other tutorials say you need to download a thing from Pioneer to upgrade it and a lot of other steps...
