Is there anyway to reverse the direction? I’m trying to write out a name in cursive from left to right, but it seems like with this method for whatever reason it’s moving them from right to left. I tried changing the direction option under the path, but that doesn’t seem to be working

the first method is working with filled typografie aswell, but i think you need to change the angle in time for letters like R A etc, do you know a better technique?

Try to reverse the trim path settings. Not sure about the edges, maybe with the second method where you draw a path; you could draw around the edges and animate it.

Sir i am facing an issue i make a curve in illustrator like your logo the start of the curve is at bottom and end a a little above when i apply trim path start and end 50 50 and after few frames start 0 and end 100 the path starts from end to beginning i want it to start from beginning that is bottom i have also tried starr to 100 and end to 0 but it still starts from the end kindly guide me

Play with the offset values. You can also animate offset to change direction midway if necessary.

How would you animate a logo that intertwines? I have a logo that once after I create shapes from vector layers its one seamless logo. There's no layers to it. How can I animate something like that. Im super new to after affects but I can't seem to figure it out. Hope that make sense? This logo is from a company called Impressions Vanity Co.

There are many ways to animate a logo that doesn't necessarily require Trim Paths. But if you are opting for Trim Paths, here are some ideas: a) I would use the second method, not for the Track Matte, but for the shape itself. Use Pen Tool - Draw a full shape of the logo, and animate it. You can make end lines thinner to get the same look as the logo has. b) If you look at the logo, the sides are identical. You can draw half of the logo using Pen Tool --> Animate it --> Pre-Compose the layer --> Use "Mirror" Effect --> Align it to the center so both sides connect --> Create duplicates and add Drop Shadow on top layers (so it gives it depth, like it's portrayed in static logo). No worries if your shape doesn't look like the real logo (as long as it's identical), you can simply do some fade reveal of real logo on top of your animation at the end. Hope it helps.
