I still enjoy every single video you put out there and I would LOVE to hear about more personal stuff.😍 As for the vitamin c serum... after a chemical peel, when would you recommend to start again with vitamin c and that lactic acid treatment of yours? In December I went to a dermatologist and had the Dermamelan Mask (do you know something about it?). I still use the Dermamelan cream on certain areas on my face where I still see some discoloration, but I‘m almost finished with that cream. I would really like to start again with AHAs and vitamin c as soon as possible, but I don‘t want to overwhelm my face either, so what would you recommend... how long should I wait before I start with those products again? The Dermamelan Mask plus that aftercare cream that I‘be mentioned also peel the skin off, so I guess we kind of can compare it to a classic professional chemical peel. Thank you, my dear. And purchased a Derma Roller this week in hopes of reversing what I have done to myself. I know that this is an old video but I’m really desperate for help. I’m a brown skinned black woman and my bottom lip has always been pink(my top lip was brown so basically I had two toned lips). A little over 4 months ago, my bottom lip started to become dark gradually. But it became even darker than my top lip. Even worse than that, the colour isn’t even, it’s patchy with some parts being darker than other parts of my lip. I’ve tried all the remedies with lemon, honey, sugar, turmeric, beetroot, etc. NOTHING IS WORKING😭😭 or it lightens my lip a little bit but not evenly. Plus with using lemon so much it has made my bottom lip appear dry and more wrinkly. All this has just killed my confidence because it’s very noticeable(I have very full lips) and my lips were my proudest feature. I’m actually grateful for the pandemic in the sense that if I’m in public, no one sees my lips due to my mask. I had a thought that maybe using a vitamin c serum on my lips may help return it to its natural colour? If anyone knows please help me. I’m really struggling. TLDR: Can vitamin C serum help to lighten lips? Any remedies to lighten lips(already tried lemon, turmeric honey etc.)

Happy new year! I also have a very challenging 2017, looking forward to a calmer, zen 2018 :) I use The Ordinary 23% and 30% ascorbic acid suspensions, I mostly mix them with tretinoin, ferulic + resvretol or just plain moisturizer. Really enjoy them, they are water-less therefore very stable

Maroon Vera Bless you my love for your continued positivity and love on my channel. You may be sensitive to HQ. fHave you considered using some AHA prior to the Retinol? You may want to cut out the hydroquinone for a couple weeks and see if you are sensitive to it and then just only use AHA with Retinol to see if your skin becomes brighter. I have several clients who are very sensitive to HQ and become darker. Kojic Acid, alpha arbutin are other alternatives to use.

The percentage might be too high or formulated with other ingredients that your skin does not like. Often purging can occur with vitamin C or any new products. You also may be developing congestion and might need to go to a lower percentage of vitamin C

I live in sweden and the suns been barbequeing us the last months so my face was superdry on an about-to-crack-level and WHOA. What’s best to use for uneven Skintone? I’ve tried lactic peels at home but didn’t help and Retin A gave me a pale color that I don’t like. I like my reddish undertone. My issue is that my cheeks are darker than my forehead and around my eyes it’s also much lighter than my cheeks. How can I fix this?

Brian Obrian hey Brian have you ever use hydroquinone? That might help even out your skin tone a little bit and you may want to consider doing a 7% or 10% light TCA chemical peel.

Montarbo Skincare:San Diego's Chemical Peel & Acne Expert thx for the reply, I accidentally used to use a lotion with 2% hq in it and didn’t know it had it in it and also didn’t know what HQ was till I read it’s used to lighten skin so I immediately stopped and this is actually what made my skin uneven. So I like to stay away from that, I’ll see a doc and see if I can get the TCA peel done. Should I use a vitamin C serum also to get me original skin tone back? Thanks for the reply

Brian Obrian Uesh HQ can trigger discoloration in certain skin types. C serum can for sure help along with more natural lighter with Kojic acid or licorice. Also using a good AHA cleanser or gel could help too.

Hi! Thank you so much. It’s hard to get fully rid of freckles which is part of your genetic makeup but you can improve brighter skin in general. Typically a series of peels and at home care with chemical exfoliants and brighteners help. You would have to ask that company for best use and advice
