Yes the game will be laggy or low fps in VMWare since VMWare is just a virtual machine and does not matches your PC. Using VMWare for RAN Online is just good for vending and afk.

Try this procedure, go to VMware settings > click Hardware tab > click Display > click Accelerate 3D Graphics > click OK to save changes > then Power On VMWare

What do you mean by window security? If you have Windows Defender, just turn it off first before extracting VMWare.

You can use any OS you like. Your gen exe probably got deleted by your anti virus, you can check the detection history and restore it.
