How to use your standard tn as a cover for your hobonichi weeks

The weeks is actually the perfect size for the secondary band that is under the primary band in the tn

There’s tons of ways you can do this including a TN sleeve from LaurenPhelpsDesign; put it into the clear pocket of the TN zipper pouch they sell; put the actual elastic between the coc and the weeks etc. you can also get a TN sized for the weeks including basic ones that feel like the travelers company for the basic feel and some even have a pen loop on them. You can also cut down the Tn to size for the weeks and put new holes/elastics in if you find one on sale or have one from a destashing. Great way to repurpose one for your size.

Thanks for sharing this idea! I switched from TN to Hobonichi planners and have several TN covers just sitting in a drawer. This great idea will allow me to get them out and give your idea a shot. Galen Leather has a version of the Life Wallet that is on my wish list. I may have found my reason to order it. 😊

I slip the front cover of my weeks into the plastic zip file clear pocket in my travellers notebook cover. That was I can still see the cover of the weeks and have access to the pen look on the weeks cover. - hope that made sense.

BTW I’m not currently using my Weeks nor my standard TN covers, and I do not have nor need the Superior Labor insert, but your video is really making me want to use all of the above! It looks so simple yet elegant.

I just happened to have a Superior Labor canvas and leather insert so I did pop it into my TN and then my Hobo Weeks with clear cover and it looks fabulous and feels great in the hand and I’d like to thank you for the idea!

I slide my back Weeks cover into the kraft folder of my TN. I like being able to take out the Weeks easily and use it on its own and that if I’m traveling, I can keep everything together. I’ve been eyeing the Baum kuchen insert for a long time, but they are hard to get and I suppose I don’t need it. Maybe some day. It’s so pretty. 🥲

Would it be possible to put the Life Wallet in backwards/upside down, so the zipper leather section would be in front and you could slide the back cover of the weeks into the canvas section?
