I bought a press like this and it was very unsafe to use. The metal bar in the middle got rusted and got into my juice. Also, the red paint, when turning to press the juice, the red paint fell into my juice. The pieces of wood that placed inside, the wood pieces got into my juice. I don’t recommend this product and suggest that it should be made of a different material that does not rusted as well as no paint, no wood.

Why do Americans refer to apple juice as cider even before it has been fermented?....just asking!

Because during prohibition the production and sale of alcoholic cider was banned, but there were still huge quantities of apples being pressed for fresh juice which continued to be called cider (if you add preservatives they seem to call it apple juice). When prohibition ended the name for fresh pressed apple 'cider' stuck so the alcoholic version was called hard cider.

Real demo would be better, your rotation on the fruit crusher was the wrong direction, don't miss lead us.

If it was the wrong direction I don't think it would have worked. You can see the juice come out of the press.
