Fantastic video, short, clear, and to the point. I just bought some blanks of amazon and I can't wait to try my hand at painting and UV coating.

Very nice. I will have to try going in multiple directions like you did the next time I use it. I just recently started making some wood rat swimbaits that take a good bit of time to make. The past two I have done have had some patches that I missed or have little dimples. I paint it on as well with a pretty thick brush and put it in the sun for a bit since I dont have a light setup yet. I was thinking I need to make a lure turner but maybe not

If I did volume for sales maybe UV, it maybe a bit ruff one handed to make this work for me, but I’m sure I could figure out something. Epoxy is a much longer and hazardous process for the bait, I get bugs attracting to my epoxy, why I don’t know, that’s why I don’t paint much in summer, darn nat bugs!
@rosinlover71062 жыл бұрын
You should try make a small painting booth that you can close up when you done bro best of luck 💪💯

@@rosinlover7106 I placed a light at the opposite end of the shop ( about 25’) otherwise dark in the shop, bugs should have been attracted to the light, no, to the epoxy!

I used a brush, and my coat came out uneven. This is my first time using uv Coat, so do you have any tips on getting an even coat?

Do you always brush it on instead of dipping?
@customlurepainter6 ай бұрын
Yes, dipping you will waste a lot of materials

I have been using a women’s nail Hansen er for the uv. Sure wish I could make a box like yours but I just don’t understand electrical stuff.

Lol I’m definitely not the do it yourself guy, luckily I figured it out just put 2 light, 1 light bar at bottom and it works great

cool video cool setup, but i thought part of uv deal was to dunk it and then put in box like assembly line....i see you brush it...is that a preference?

I recently tried the East Coast Resin/Epoxy to clearcoat some lures. Problem is, the next day i went to clean off the hook rings and the epoxy seems to be very brittle.... any idea what could cause that?

@@customlurepainter I just did another batch of 6, this time I was more careful with the 1 to 1 ratio, and I added some glitter to the epoxy... Will give it 2 days and see how it turns out.
