I grew up with a narcissistic mom. She just kept criticizing me and made me feel like I had to prove and work on something to be worthy, but it was never enough. It took me a long time to work on my feminine energy and self-esteem. Before my self-love journey I attracted unavailable men where I needed to prove many things for them to love me, ignoring red flags, and them never giving me the commitment I want. Now everytime my parents say something bad to me, undue criticism, shaming me, I no longer internalize it and repel with my positive thoughts and validating my own worth. Thank you Lisa for channels like this

I grew up in a really abusive family and as an adult was constantly second guessing myself in every way, unknowingly seeking validation from others to make sure I was handling things the right way or best way. After doing the work and starting to relearn how healthy people behave, I don't seek validation anymore. Being confident shows up as very steadfast and not easily shaken. I love your videos so much, Lisa. You're such an amazing person.

I wish I had access to this type of wisdom when I was younger. I was raised by a single mom, she loved us and raised us as best as she could, but she herself lacked confidence and didn't have a high self worth. I allowed myself to be used by men who saw my desperate need to be loved and was constantly seeking validation/approval from other. I'm almost 50 and just starting to figure this out. Thank you for your content, it will be invaluable to young women.

Oh my gosh. This is such a good reminder for a woman of any age. I am making my well being and safety and health in every way top priority. Clothes are important and so is grooming. I finally feel I am pursuing my dreams and art and painting and design. My grandma and dad used to tell me to pursue my dreams and clothes do make the person. It's not good for anyone to have jealous sneaky belittlers around, especially if they are relatives. It is so important to dump those that don't hold your similar values, or lift you up but put you down and cause harm. It's so much better to pursue your own dreams instead of doing time with Dana anrd Danny downers. Blessings. I am signing up.

I will be honest, I felt your positive energy throughout this whole video and it gave me that positive boost. I used to think so much of other people's opinions but there comes a time, and experience, where it is just not worth it anymore. As you said, the only opinion that matters is yourself. Also validating yourself is also a from of self-care both physically and mentally. At the end of the day, the only person that's with you will always be you and it is important to see yourself as a best friend. As you said, and I loved that you mentioned it, about how you treat your family and friends with kindness, you should also treat yourself that way too. Looking forward to your next video!

Amazing content, right now I really needed to hear your message and remind myself of who I am. Hope to spread this positivity. I’ve got 3 jobs opportunities all at once and I got to choose which one I like most and it’s for me. I’ve chosen the one where from beginning I was treated with respect and admiration. When it comes to relationship I realised that it’s ok if it’s not going to work out with the person I was attracted to because I’m the queen and many people treat me accordingly so it’s my job to only see me that way and be unbothered by those who doesn’t value me.

Love this video! We have a similar taste in artists :) I think it’s important to nurture those things you have interest in or that you identify with, so it solidifies your confidence even further because of your familiarity with the subject. Plus I think starting with learning about one or two subjects thoroughly gives you the skill to learn another more easily.

I found when I did treat myself like a Queen I had so many men and women try and tear me down or call me a narcissist or just generally not like me because I wasn’t being a people pleaser anymore. I got abused a lot and it wore me down over time til I felt unworthy. I have cptsd which is a brain injury as well so it’s easy to slip back into feeling unworthy. It’s so frustrating dealing with tall poppy syndrome in my country Australia 🇦🇺

Reverting back to people pleasing to suit others is not the answer…I am not saying isolate yourself, but if it’s possible - remove yourself from those people/situations and start to to build new connections with the people who value you ❤ x

I hate the modern feedback culture as people are so brazen and give unrequested feedback, using it to push you down hard (your pants are too tight, naked shoulders are vulgar, you show too much leg). All my live I had just one or two feedbacks which were helpful and millions of feedbacks just targeting to push me down! Even with a toxic partner this can happen to you, he is feeling bad and is jelous of your good mood or thinks he is not as attractive as you.
