To clarify, the dislikes aren't from people who disliked the video, they're from butthurt Keemstar fans who can't comprehend logic and think i'm jumping on the hate train for thinking he's an idiot for the stuff he has done over his years on KZbin. Just wanted to make that clear to any new visitors. The likes & comments on this video paint the true picture of the information in the video. Thanks again everyone for your continued support!

Can you tell me how does the lines appear before the next pen tool click? I mean, you click once and while you're moving the mouse a "line preview" is visible so you can see where it's best to put the next anchor point. That's really helpful! Keep up the good work

Hi Steve, first of all many compliments for your videos. Please tell me how you create the white stripes inside the colour. Did you use a different kind of paper or brush? Thanks in advance

Hi! This may be a dumb question but i was wondering how i could get those preview lines with the pentool before you place you anchor point, so you get an idea of the way it will look. Is it only available on CC versions? Because i am using CS6

When you make a new point and move the pen tool a line follow the icon (like a preview for the curve you gonna make) how enable that on Ai? Sorry about my English haha, great video!

Hey Ste, What about image tracing and then refine the work? What do you think about it? cheers
@SteBradburyDesign8 жыл бұрын
If you wan't to create a nice clean piece of lettering, I would not recommend using image trace because it's not very accurate, especially for lettering. Even when it comes to refining it, it would take you forever to make it look clean because it generates so many anchor points where they're not needed, so you end up with messy curves etc. If you use this method, it is very easy to adjust any curves by simply moving the anchor arms. I would definitely recommend getting used to this method of vectorising because after a bit of practice, it is one of the most useful things ever! But of course image trace does work for other, more rough looking styles.

if you have left some shadow trikes for vectors, I'd be glad to see tutorials :3
@SteBradburyDesign8 жыл бұрын
im not sure what you mean?
@loneletter8 жыл бұрын
Ste Bradbury Design im mean like you have on your logo, if it's possible to do such masked shadows in illustrator only ( if background won't be black)
@SteBradburyDesign8 жыл бұрын
Lone Leon Khachaturyan I think I know what you mean, and those shadows can either be the same colour as the background, or you can simply cut the shadows out of the letter so that when you place it on any background, it is always there? I think thats what you mean anyway
@loneletter8 жыл бұрын
Ste Bradbury Design I mean i Ps if you want to make such shadow you just draw it, then cut out or mask excess part using main shape selection. But in Ai it doesn't work like this some things dissapear witch i dont want to (or i dont know how to make it yet). So if you know how to repeat that mask effect witch has Ps.
