Very good tutorial, nice showing it specific to watercolour scans. Would be good to show the resulting file size of the exported svg, and some tips on how to lower that file size. The results look great though, it really looks like a watercolour in your final heart there.

oh Christy, you have no idea how happy you made me with this comment! I just sent an email to my subscribers saying I have decided to do my first ever live class and I'm super scared about it because although I love teaching I am super shy about it... So receiving your comment right after sharing my vulnerability is a super boost! Thanks, thanks, thanks!!!

You are welcome. I honestly can't remember as it was recorded years ago and Adobe launches new versions constantly... but the process is the same right now with the latest version :)

Hello! Can I do something similar with photoshop? I don't have illustrator due to virus, but I need to make hand drawn logos into a versatile digital version in png and jpg so that the person can use it and transform it in multiple medias and design materials but can't figure out how to. Any help?
@HeartmadeDesign3 жыл бұрын
Hello!! If you simply need to clean your hand drawings backgrounds so they are transparent, you can definitely do it with Photoshop and save them as PNG :) * I have another tutorial teaching how to clean the background:* kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYizdH1tg5Jnhqc What you can't do with photoshop is turning them into vectors, since it's a tool for only raster files, while illustrator is for vectors. I hope that helps!

but this makes file very very heavy. Specially when u create a print like this almost impossible to move around and create print. So BItmap and tiff is more practical way I guess.
