Here is my own take on how to voice your chords for ambient guitar looping and get a crystal clear sound with your chords and loops.
I explain to you my 3 regions rule of the fretboard that I have applied on guitar after studying keyboards & the science of harmonics.

That's my goal. I don't want to be just ''another guitar teacher''. I wanna share MY different approach! When you learn from 1 teacher, you kinda copy him. But when you learned from 15 teachers (like I did), you gather all of that information into your own original approach. And I truly realized that I had something special to offer when making my KORDZ Program. I think I have found my personnal strenght and I will exploit it. It's just the beginning :) Thanks for being with me!

Very nice. You could show the natural harmonics on the guitar as well, taking the low string, and touching the nodes at 12, 7,5 and 3, dividing the string length in 1/2,1/3,1/4,1/5, etc. A brass player can also get this series of notes with one fingering by tightening the embouchure.

Welcome to the world of chordal playing! This will be a long and wonderful journey for you. Harmonizations, extensions, inversions, stacking, choosing voicings over others... there are infinite possibilities for each progression and even for each chord all over the fretboard!! Playing and experimenting with all of that is truly what I'm passionate about on guitar!

Nice lesson, Antoine. I like how you formalize this into the 3 regions. I've sort of informally been following this but didn't really know that the muddiness of the lower areas was due to the harmonics having room to bloom. I just thought: Low=Muddy, full stop. So that's interesting. And it then makes sense that when playing in the upper region, I should try adding color notes to provide the harmonic boost. Good stuff, thanks......

Did you used delay or only reverb ? What effect/preset did you use to get that perfect sound ?
@AntoineMichaudGuitar
@AntoineMichaudGuitar 6 жыл бұрын
For the looping part I did use delays and reverb (Neunaber Wet, Strymon El Capistan, Diamond Memory Lane Jr.). For the other examples it was just the Neunaber delay!
@andresgomez396
@andresgomez396 5 жыл бұрын
I didn't understand the upper part, do you mean it's more effective to add more notes than the root and the third? Nice video btw!
@AntoineMichaudGuitar
@AntoineMichaudGuitar 5 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what I meant! When you are playing higher you could play root-2nd-3rd-4th-5th in a row in the same chord if you want and it's still going to sound good! But the more you play low, the more you have to seperate the space between your intervals to avoid muddiness!
