I am 19 and have never dated or had a boyfriend and I just know that I am being protected for my future husband. I have always had such high standards for my future husband, not because I am picky because I'm not, but because I am protecting myself from what I know is not for me. I have been told that I shouldn't have high standards, but I do anyway because I know me. Thank you for this video, I needed to hear this!

That's exactly how I've felt for a few years now (since I broke up with a boyfriend) - sometimes I feel sad that I don't have anyone, but it's momentary and the Lord always reminds me that I'm being protected☺️💛

HOW TO WALK LIKE A WIFE? 1. walk confidently like you already have everything you need 2. walk like you have high standards 3. walk like you have strict morals for yourself (aka strict boundaries) 4. have a curfew for yourself! "i gotta be home by ___" -- late nights with guys can lead to temptations. 5. walk with intention. aka "im not here to play games." ("i never want you to have to worry" -sutton) - it makes the guy feel secure. 6. walk with value and self-worth. - there's a difference between confidence and pride - dont fall into the trap of needing validations from others 7. Let Jesus be the reason that we walk like a wife and *want to walk like a wife. Our worth and value is found in Him.

@@tazmin5020 I disagree with that. You can love someone dearly, but Satan has all of the ways to push in temptation where he can. We are all human, therefore sin and temptation will be with us forever until the good Lord comes again. It’s not saying to not trust your partner, because I agree trust is extremely important, but it’s saying to not put yourself in circumstances where temptation can even become. The Bible says to not even be in the appearance of sin, and I truly believe that one of the main reasons is because the Lord obviously knows how powerful temptation is and how fast it can sneak up on you. If you put yourself in a situation where you let your guard down, open that invitation for sin to come in, even without technically sinning, yet, that is disrespecting yourself and the boundaries you have and also your spouse/partner. Trust is extremely important, but you need to also be aware and respect your partner to not even be in the appearance of sin. 😊
@jennabetters4 жыл бұрын
@@tazmin5020 since the video is targeted towards single girls who aren’t yet married, instructing them how to “walk” or carry themselves AS a wife would, the single ladies should take care not to put themselves into situations that would pose a higher risk for temptation (like staying out late). Once married, though, as an actual wife, she won’t have to worry about any of that because, as you said, she and her husband should trust each other completely. :)

I watched this for the second time and you have given me a brilliant idea: so I have the habit of ending the day with talking to Jesus, but it always gets a little too late for my liking. Therefore I will set a curfew at 22:00 hour because I have a 'date'/appointment with Jesus then and He will be waiting for me!😃 Turning my prayer time into something more official like this, I hope it helps me to not go to bed too late. As a guy I can even sense the neediness from a girl who is desperate. It's bad because the wrong guy will take advantage of that
@romanscalph3744 жыл бұрын
So good man! I totally agree! It's honestly difficult for me personally, to be attracted to such behavior now. I once over committed to a friendship that hadn't even moved into dating, and she was very clingy. I think in my naivety, I took it as her liking me more, but in reality it was just the neediness she had developed. Now, one of my top standards is almost an independence from guys and dependence on God for value. As much as i would love to value them a lot, any girl that I like, should find more value in what God thinks of her than I do. And yeah for any girls out there that read what Jay said, he is absolutely right. There is an endless amount of guys willing to take advantage of you, needy or not, but if you are, its easier prey. And yeah that sounds creepy, but subconsciously that is how the flesh behaves. I've had some really close friend girls, become needy, and end up getting into a relationship that they thought they were valued in, but turns out the guy just wanted somebody to spend time with on the weekends or on his down days. BE REALLY CAREFUL AND FIND YOUR VALUE IN WHAT GOD DEFINES YOU TO BE, NOT WHAT SOME DUDE SAYS.

I just went on my first official date with a really cool girl. We are taking it really slow, since we both agreed we are in a spot in life where everything could change really quickly and circumstances may make it inconvenient or not fun. But it's really cool though getting to talk with somebody about all sorts of things and coming from similar perspectives and walks of life. I am happy to say that she fulfills the standards that I care about most at the minute. I am watching this video thinking of my standards and what I should look for, I have already set some but thinking from the perspective of a how a girl should behave is really helpful. Your guys' wisdom and honesty is always deeply appreciated by this community. On a random side note, this is kinda a question for Nate but I would love to hear Sutton's input as well. I didn't let her pay for part of the dinner bill on the first date. Is this something that guys should still be doing or is it getting a bit old? From my perspective, it's a way of showing that you value them and are willing to invest or sacrifice your time and money for your friendship/relationship. Especially on the first date. As it progresses, I can see how it'd be okay to allow for partial payment of the bill, but early on, I feel like it's a tangible and surface level way of saying, "Hey, even if this doesn't go anywhere, I respect you and appreciate your willingness to come talk and get to know each other better." Any thoughts on this idea are really appreciated!!!
@cabpeer59634 жыл бұрын
First off, Congrats!😎 My opinion about who should pay is that whoever asks the person out on the date should pay, but ofc the other person should still offer. After that I think it should probably be split. That's just my take though.
@jazzye_924 жыл бұрын
I think it's great that you're still old school and your perspective on it is amazing and very much hard to find. I've dealt with too many times where guys never valued me in that manner and I ended up getting used to it to the point where a guy did show me that respect and I had to deliberately train myself to receive from him without feeling that there were stings attached. I say stick with what you're doing. Truthfully if a woman gets offended by you covering her in that way all the time, then she doesn't know how to receive and that can pose issues later on because she will try to hinder you from doing what God led you to do which will block both yall's blessing

HEYYYYYY as a girl i think that it is AWESOME and 100% chivalrous and it shows that you care about the girl and it shows the type of man that you are if you pay for dinner or whatever the date is. I was wondering if it's not too personal if y'all can explain what the structure and roles are suppose to be in a Christian houshold. For example, What do both of you do for eachother in ever day life? Such as responsibility in the household or what y'all expect from eachother? 7:08 Alongside not playing games, what are ways to make your partner feels secure in your relationship? I’d love to learn more because I’ve never really dated before!

Hey guys I love yalls videos sooo much I just had to come on here and say y'all saved my life I was going through a ruff patch and as a 15 year old male follower in Christ it's not always easy especially at school in a small town (less that 2000 people) I was getting depressed and started having some pretty bad and negative thoughts then one day I was scrolling through youtube and came upon one of yalls videos I had never even heard of y'all until that day and y'all helped turn my life around and so I thank y'all from the bottom of my heart for all y'all do even if you don't think y'all are doing good y'all are thank you

So? Are you a Feminazi? Because truth be told; a woman can’t be a feminist and be a woman of God at the same time. Because feminism goes against the family and gender structures which God created

@@jollygoodgordon5580 true, my friend and I were talking about it literally yesterday, that maybe the church has adopted the norms of the world and bringing them to the body of Christ and that won't work^_^especially on the 50/50 husband/wife roles

Thank you for the tips. God just confirmed more to me when Sutton said “stop playing games”. I’m a lil petty sometimes but thank you for the reminder. May God bless your family in Jesus Name.

Hey Nate and Sutton, I love hearing what you all have to say on certain topics and would have loved to hear more biblically based truth in this video instead of opinion. You have a such an incredible platform to encourage others in what the Lord says and how to be obedient to that. Thank you for using your page to encourage others though, I am just a sister in Christ spurring you all on! Love you both! YOU ARE AWESOME!

Praying for my future spouse has helped my wandering eye syndrome. I believe I know who the person is though we're not even talking yet. But God is building up my whole life in this period to show me that life is more than just who I end up with. He is redefining how I look at love too and what I look for cause the guy is not even my normal cup of tea. But walking with God in this has thought me so much. I do pray all ends in praise.... But even if, God is still building me to be a solid person.
