How to Warp a Simple Frame Loom with no nails or pegs

In this video you will learn how to put a warp onto a simple frame loom that has no nails, notches or pegs.
In the previous video I showed you how to make a simple frame loom using just an old picture frame and marking out measurements along the top and bottom of the frame. It is by far the cheapest and easiest way to make a frame loom.
Apologies in advance for the wonky audio and general video quality. I've been playing around with a new microphone (its not going as well as i'd hoped) and the battery on my lights ran out. I couldn't face redoing the whole thing but everything you need to know is hopefully nice and clear despite all of this!

Can I just say, I've loved learning about rug weaving the last few days, but this is exactly the technique I didn't know existed, but have absolutely needed. You're instructions are brilliant, and I also never heard of "measure tape" and think that's absolutely genius too haha

Excellent video. I just assembled a new simple frame loom and dreaded the thought of having to saw slots in the top and bottom. This solves my problem perfectly. Thank you for describing the spacing in inches, also.

Oh thank you so much for this video! I used written instructions to warp my frame (I'm a complete complete beginner) and could NOT for the life of me figure out how to tell which thread I was meant to go over or under on when there was a front and back thread! Whoops. This video was so clear and helpful though, I can't wait to undo my messy attempt and sort it out!

It can be very confusing at first! Once you’ve got a few warps under your belt, you’ll find your rhythm, and in turn, your warp tension will get better and better. I’m so glad you found this useful. Happy weaving!
