I do the same, but after flushing with salt away, I do flush at the end with fresh water. Also, i wash my ski with salt away, let it sit for a couple mins and then rinse.

I totally agree it's important not to flush motor hot I wash it first then take the seat off for a bit to help cool the capartment and i spray the salt away all over it good video my man keep them comming

Use the valve to turn on or off water but hook the connection up. Use the remaining solution that is left in the container to rinse wash your ski.

I do similar, but use the same sprayer to spray the entire ski, the motor, and the entire inside of the hull with salt away, then coat all the metal with fluid film.

Overall very good. Couple things; widen out the spray pattern when spraying down the ski, and certainly remove your Garmin unit before doing it. Dont forget your trailer. It loves to be free of salt too!

Great job but to me freshwater would be fine. Sea-Doos have a closed-loop cooling system so the engine never sees saltwater

I’m surprised you wouldn’t follow up the salt remover with another 20 or 30 seconds of fresh water. Just to get the suds out. Jet skis seem VERY high maintenance. This routine seems like it could eventually discourage you from riding. In salt water at least.

great video, i just got my hands on my first sea doo gtx 300. when you wash the engine bay is there anything to be careful? I meant where is the air intake location? also after washing it where to not spray fluid film? on my kawasaki sxr the only place to be careful to not spray water is the air intake filter box. thx

Thank you. For the engine was I would use the salt away and I would stay away from the electric connections. But I haven’t washed mine yet because it never got any water inside, so I just spray the engine with lubricant.

Congratulations in advance, I’m not sure how you do that on the dock. I mean you can mainly use the hose /fresh water to rinse the salt and flush the jet ski also, but using soap may be bad for the marine environment .

The water coming out from your garden hose isn’t enough to cool down hot running engine as it may lead to damage your carbon seal and eventually will allow water to get inside the engine.

Hi there, I have the same ski, 2022 model, my 5 cents worth, I wouldn’t introduce cold water to any engine surface where the engine is not running, that is at or close to operating temp, mainly because hot components will try to retract or shrink when rapidly cooled, I’m talking a minuscule amount not observable to the naked eye but over time this may lead to a premature failure of components, if it’s a short trip home take the seat off and let it cool slowly, by the time you prepare your cleaning gear, consume a coffee or cold one…you should be good to go. These closed loop cooling Rotax engines are not effected by cold water flushing, you are only flushing the exhaust chamber, but definitely DO NOT introduce water under pressure into the flushing circuit before starting and running the engine at idle, unlike the bullet proof 2 stroke engines of old, these 4 stroke engines will not enjoy the experience of water injection one little bit 😎

I don’t use water to clean the engine at all, if you want to clean the engine you can use salt away and after it gets dry spry lubricant.

I have been advised by the dealer to use this method , water first and mixture second. And I thought about it and realized it does make sense, because the freshwater still has salt that may not be good for some parts in the exhaust when flush , it may cause it to get rust by time , but that will not happen when using the mixture in the end because it will breach the salt and washes it away.

I check the engine bay every time I get back home before I start washing the jet ski to make sure that now salt water made it through, and 100% of the time the engine bay is so dry and has no water so no need to wash it or rinse it , I just spry it with silicone lubricant.

flushing time vary with sea doo models , if you have or planning to buy one , i highly suggest to check its owner manual to see the proper time for flushing.
