Great info on the care of Microfiber. I laugh we I see Videos of people stating to wash Microfiber in cold water only. Do you wash your greasy dishes in cold water? Does your Dishwasher wash in cold water? Of course not. My water heater is set to 140 and I use hot water cycle to wash my Microfiber and after heating up the big stainless drum on my Bosch Washing Machine the max temp I see with my infrared thermometer is in the low 130s so no fear of overheating the fabric. Most people set their water heaters even lower in the 120 range so once again no worries. I have had most of my Microfiber towels for over 15 years and they're still going strong. One tip...if your towels are extremely dirty or loaded with wax/sealant/compounds give them a presoak with a dedicated Microfiber cleaner like Micro-Restore or Rags to Riches, it will release most of the dirt/grunge and then wash as usual.

Thanks for the vid. I ruined a bunch of microfiber towels after washing them and putting a fabric softener sheet in the dryer. Whatever it left on the towels would transfer over to my car windows. I have washed them over and over but it won't come off the towels. So that is why I am here looking @ vids to see what liquid detergent I can use on my new microfiber towels. I was thinking of using SalSuds from Dr. Bronners, what do you think?

Oh good, I have been washing them correctly. I use All Free and Clear, Vinegar in my spot for fabric softener and warm water then I just dry them hanging on a rack after I put them in the dryer on low heat for about 20 minutes. This just seemed like how they should be washed, not that anyone ever told me.

I'm in a pinch. I want to use my microfiber clothes tomorrow but they need to be washed. If I use regular detergent this time but go back to the one you suggest (which is the one I used before but I'm out now) will that work. O does one time washing with regular ruin the clothes. I'm over thinking how to type this out so I hope I;m being clear.

Hold on. Don't some washing machines heat up the water? A simple google search says yes some can. So I'm wondering if the temp can heat the water above 120 or 140 degrees... Can't seem to find that info.
@jeffreycaban5107Ай бұрын
Most Washing Machines with an onboard heater only come on in a Sanitary Cycle or Allergy cycle and in the USA with 120 volt small heaters it is typically a 2 hour cycle or more if this cycle is selected. Even though you pick Hot on the settings it is still heating up a large Drum so no fear of going over 140 degrees.

My biggest problem with my microfiber cloths is what you mentioned about stuff sticking to them. Now that I know better I was wondering if there's a way I can remove all the debris from the towels I have so I can start anew? Or am I better off just getting new towels. Thanks!
@CleanWithConfidence Жыл бұрын
You just have to pick out the debris with you fingers one piece at a time👍

Or use needle nose tweezers to pull out the stuff. You can renew your microfiber products while watching a movie or television program at home while removing the debris.
