How to waterproof a tent trailer (pop up camper)

This is not a sponsored video. I spray a 20 year old tent trailer with Woods silicone waterproofing. I had previously removed mold inside the trailer by cleaning it with a bleach product - which may have degraded its waterproof abilities.

After waterproofing the camper i took it to a music festival for a week. We had beautiful weather except one day there was heavy rain - for hours ! I had no leaks in the trailer - so it seems this product works

heck yes , spray it on , and I would spray the Inside too . and let it air dry for a week

Do you spray the mesh where the windows are on the outside ? Do you spray the canvas on the inside of the trailer?

Is this good for keep cold air leaks out as well by spraying the entire camper? My camper is allowing so much cold air in as soon as the sun goes down. Would this method help maybe if I did 3-5 coats and heavier on the canvas?

I sprayed silicone waterproofing by Atsko and turned it all yellow.

my kind of guy.... I love it that he didn't "OBEY" the instructions but still managed to use an apparently good product to do what he wanted to do... and that's what I want to do w/ my new pop up canvas camper. Why do it the hard way when the easier way works well enough... ? I know. I know. Some MUST do it the "right" way. Some rules are meant to be broken.

my husband and I used Starbrite mildew/mold remover....worked amazingly well!

Yep X2 for Starbrite for mild stains. Doesn’t work well on stains from squishing bloody mosquitos though. I hear the Basspro brand is best.

I would recommend miracle mist instant mold and mildew stain remover it worked awesome you can buy it at Walmart in the RV section
